Got mine at Costco for 22 bucks...& I think its a great companion for the movie....brings back alot of memories & I'm on my second reading of it. Went thru it fast the first time, this time I'm going thru each chapter & writing down performances & then checking them out on YouTube...great fun for a rainy, cold day. Someone in an earlier thread said he was reading a chapter & then listening to each album before moving on...the album pages are my favorite part. Get one...its awesome 8-)

  • It's the best of all PJ20 releases.
As much as I can criticise the movie, the book covers the first 20 years perfectly.

It blows the movie away. Very detailed with no gaps in the band's history. The story told in the book is what the movie should have been.
It's nice to be nice to the nice.
  • It's great. Get one. I haven't finished but the details are just awesome. It's basically a timeline with snippets from the film with extra edited-out details. I love it.

I couldn't put the book down. It was great. I am at the point with PJ where I really dig their live shows and will travel as much as I can, but don't listen to the CD's/boots as much or need to read every interview and I still found this book really interesting.
