Honestly, I don't know, it looks great, great pictures, great print, I've only read up to the 1990-year chapter, I went through the pages front and back, but not haven't finish reading it, I have to finish other books first, but you will enjoy it, that's for certain...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...
Very good. I went through it quickly and out of order (and therefore had to miss some stuff) and I was just thinking this morning how I will go through all of it the right way.
Me neither, in fact this will be my first PJ20 item (besides the Halloween shirt) for me to acquire. I'm waiting on the Amazon Blu Ray release. Thanks to Netflix releasing the movie!

I was underwhelmed by it. Get it free from the lib.
81 is a Debbie Downer. He doesn't like the book, he doesn't like the beer, he doesn't like Bernie Kosar, I'm not even sure he likes the band. The book is great and has more info than the movie.
aye, just finished reading the book - in my humble wee opinion, it's the best thing Pearl Jam / 10C have released in a long time! ...since Backspacer that is
i dont know..i wait the Greekglish version for read it..
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
I am thinking about buying it, but before that I have a question to those who already read it.
What is the focus of it? I mean does it focus like the movie on the years till Binaural or is there actually some more info about the last ten years, like some stuff about Riot Act or Self Titled?

It's MUCH more detailed than the film. And there's definitely more info on the second half (2000 to 2010) than what is shown in the film. Every album (recording process and stuff like that) is covered in good detail, and they are in essay form, seperate from the chapters.
Most informative piece of work featuring the band that exists. Perhaps the best piece of work featuring the band that exists as well(each medium is different and has its own merits).
I've read up to 1994, and the book is damn awesome. So many tidbits that you'd never have known. I especially like the meanings and deeper insight on the creation of the songs. Had no idea lyrics for 'glorified g' were based on Dave A comments, 'deep' was tied to Andy, aww hell, I won't give too much away, just read it! Way better than the movie IMHO.

Got mine at Costco for 22 bucks...& I think its a great companion for the movie....brings back alot of memories & I'm on my second reading of it. Went thru it fast the first time, this time I'm going thru each chapter & writing down performances & then checking them out on YouTube...great fun for a rainy, cold day. Someone in an earlier thread said he was reading a chapter & then listening to each album before moving on...the album pages are my favorite part. Get one...its awesome
It's great. Get one. I haven't finished but the details are just awesome. It's basically a timeline with snippets from the film with extra edited-out details. I love it.
I couldn't put the book down. It was great. I am at the point with PJ where I really dig their live shows and will travel as much as I can, but don't listen to the CD's/boots as much or need to read every interview and I still found this book really interesting.

As much as I can criticise the movie, the book covers the first 20 years perfectly.
