  • I got the Type O Negative box set. I felt terrible spending that much money on myself this close to Christmas but I had to have this thing. My local store opened up at 11 and I got there about 15 minutes early and was like 5 people back in line. It looked like they had plenty of all of the big releases but I had to stop myself from looking at anything else

There was plenty of Wilco at Princeton Record Exchange!

Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Wilco, Phish, Black Keys, Iron and Wine, RHCP, Pete Townshend, Warren Haynes

Box sets: Nirvana, Beatles, John Lennon, Beastie Boys, Pink Floyd

    Still looking for MIles.

Needless to say, will be eating rice and beans until April ... or the PJ tour announcement!

Love that place. Cousins live in Princeton. Actually bought my first CD there back in the early 90's.

It's an amazing store and the folks who work there are really solid! It was nice turning around in line and chatting with a guy in a 10 Club hoodie and then the woman in front of me said, hey i was at Alpine. Good times :D

That's funny, I talked to a guy at the store I went to who was wearing a 10C hoodie as well who also went to Alpine Valley.

I'm not in Dallas for the holidays, but I did find a small record store about 20 minutes from where my parents live that participated in this RSD. I purchased:

    Chris Cornell- Songbook
Tom Petty- Kiss My Amps Live
I also picked up Black Keys - Rubber Factory while I was there.

I almost purchased the Beatles box set but just couldn't bring myself to spend the $60 for it at this time :(

I really wanted the Wilco and Civil Wars albums, but the store did not get any.

  • Picked up The Beatles box, The Wall box, and the Cornell record after work today. Gonna try some other places tomorrow to see if I can find The Black Keys single.

Was really tempted by the Lennon and Dylan boxes too, but just couldn't bring myself to drop over $200 at the store today.

Would've liked more full-length releases for Black Friday RSD, but the boxes are pretty cool too...just expensive.

Our local record store just latched onto RSD recently so this was the first time I got to participate :)
I picked up Party Time (Phish), seriously considered, but put back their White Album; Pete Townsend's LP, Silversun Pickup, and after much debate, chose the Grateful Dead Europe 72 vol. 2 over the Pink Floyd set.
  • Both Phish vinyls and the Grateful Dead Europe 72 Vol 2. It was a good day.

Pinback 7" and, not an RSD item but, The Postal Service Give Up vinyl LP with bonus 12" B-sides and remixes
    Austin City Limits - Oct 04, 2009
  • Anyone else pick up the Soundgarden soundcheck ep? It's colored vinyl and the one I picked up today is orange. Just wondering if they are all the same or if there are different colors out there?

    The Doors cover is kickass!
