i admit we're spoiled but a 2hr 20min show is barely cause for excitement when i saw two kick-a$$ shows at msg the week before

yeah - we're spoiled - but we're pearl jam fans here and we're not talking about madonna (someone who charges $250 for an hour set)

the vibe was cool and the sound at the beacon is sick (as always)

but show was short pure and simple

maybe something to do w/ his voice and needing "steroids" as he said

but expected more for the amount of money that was raised, etc.

2 hr and 20 minutes is around the norm.....MSG's were a little longer.

and Ed basically says at the beginning of every show that they're gonna play all night (not the song) and they're gonna break curfew and this and that and 99% of the time its a 25-30 song setlist that runs around 2 1/2 hours.

i came away from the Beacon thrilled with what we got

There really seems to be a lot of venom out there reserved for this show. I dont know why people seem compelled to rip on it, compare it negatively to the Vic, etc - particularly when they werent even there!
