Lately there have been some great 1998 - 2000 PJ posters up for sale on the evil auction site. I've been surprised at the prices they've been selling for. With everybody focused on all the new PJ stuff I wonder if the older stuff is flying under the radar. If you're looking for some of those rare '98 - '00 posters now might be the time to pull the trigger as prices seem lower than in the recent past.

P.S. I'm not selling any of them...just making an observation.

I haven't seen the East Troy/Chicago 98 print that I have been looking for out there yet. But the search will continue...

That's just how my friends refer to it. Probably because that's where they see flippers sell their goods. :?

Best of luck with your search! I was lucky enough to buy that poster when I was at those shows back in '98. I have it framed up nice and it hangs next to my '98 St. Louis and my '00 Chicago.

Because they rape their sellers. They charge a 9% final value fee, then 2.9% paypal fee. Insertion fees, fees for pics. Soon they will be charging by the letter in your description.

I like to refer to it as feeBay

I'm always on the lookout for a seattle 1998 and a vancouver 98.

I only went to the 2nd show in seattle in '98 (last minute road trip). We literally got there 5 mins before the band hit the stage. Went to look for a poster after the show but they were sold out. What I regret is when I went to seattle in 2000 (and maybe even in 2002) there was a shop that sold them framed for about $120, but I was pretty tight on cash at the time.

Never bought Vancouver '98 either because the poster was so small.. but now it makes my collection imcomplete.. so I want one :)

    Too many fakes!

The poster market is crushed because there are too many knockoffs of the older PJ posters.

Even if you are certain the person you are buying the print from is a good seller, it does not mean that they purchased it from someone legitimate.

Unless you bought it from the artist, 10c or merch booth yourself you can't know for sure if it is real... no matter how much you think you know about concert posters.

Interesting. Never heard of there being an issue with fake PJ posters. Can you enlighten us on how we can determine if a poster is a fake or the real deal?

I'd think if there was an influx of the rare/older pj posters that I'd be concerned. But I've never really noticed that. I'd say the rare/older pj posters come up infrequently. I've also never heard of anyone complaining they purchased a fake pj poster.

Does anyone have any personal knowledge or experience with this issue? Anyone know that they've purchased a fake pj poster?

It seems like the Klausen 2004 poster with the bird and bullets was the most bootlegged. I haven't really heard much about the older posters.

Nicely done! I'd love to see it after its restoration! Sounds like you got a heckuva deal !

You got yourself quite a deal there. 2000 wasn't the greatest year for posters, but this one is incredible.
