VERY VERY GOOD EARLY SHOW!!

VS recording had just ended and two songs make their debut. Love the name of the band for this show! Shit like this is the reason I love this band so much. They have always just done stuff just to do it!!

Find it! Rock it!! SHARE IT!! ;)

05/13/93 - Slim's Cafe: San Francisco, CA [110m]
attendance: 900
soundcheck: Daughter instrumental, Why Go, Blood instrumental, Rats and Release guitar warm-ups, Animal instrumental, Animal, Dissident
set: Animal, Go, Even Flow, Blood, Daughter, W.M.A., Dissident, Why Go, Alive, Hard to Imagine, Rearviewmirror, Better Man, Dirty Frank/Rats, Baba O'Riley, Once, Jeremy, (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun)/Porch/(Tearing), Release, Alone, (Dirty Deeds)/Whipping, Leash, Sonic Reducer
notes: This was a secret show was a benefit to assist in legal support for a member of the Surfrider Foundation. PJ is billed as the "David J. Gunn Band" and most of Vs. (plus 'Better Man' and 'Whipping') premier as they have just completed recording the new album. The band even asks for requests at this show. Ed jokes around: "We're accepting any donations of acid that you may have. Just put it in a little envelope with your name on it ... and if we write a great song while we're on it, we'll put your name in the credits." A guitar riff from Van Halen's 'Eruption' is played between 'Why Go' and 'Alive.' 'Alive' is dedicated to Ed's uncle, Freddy Vedder. The transition from 'Dirty Frank' to 'Rats' is very cool sounding.A bit of AC/DC's 'Dirty Deeds' is played.

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

Odd that you don't get much of a response to these posts about the music. This is a sweet show man! Goddamn I love "Rats"!

BTW.. sharing it in FLAC on my blog if anyone is looking for it.

Thanks for these threads King. It's nice to focus on what brought us all here from time to time.

    THANKS!

I think all of us forget what brought us all together for the most part. I look at and listen to these shows ALL THE TIME, and it really makes me happy, then and now. I hope it does the same for others! :D

Thanks for this, it's great. Love the stuff at the end and the artwork as well. I actually have that poster. :)

He dedicated "Parachutes" to his uncle Freddy at the first SF show in 2006. Pretty cool.

The Idiots Guide To Downloading Via Megaupload

    1. Click on the link, which takes you to a page of megauplaod.

    2. In the top right corner it should say download in 45 seconds and start counting down, at about 20 seconds a box will pop up over it with adverts and a cross to close it.

    3. Click on the cross. and then when it says download (still in top right corner) click and then save in the location of your preference.

    4. Once download is complete the downloaded file will be in a WinRAR archive.

    5. If you do not have WinRAR, download it from download.com. It is a free download that takes seconds to install.

    6. Open the download with WinRAR and select Extract To. Then choose a location for the files.

    7. The files will appear at the location in mp3 or flac format in a folder.

    8. Open mp3s, crank up the volume, and enjoy Pearl Jam live in concert

This doesnt happen. There is a download button in the middle right area, but it asks for a "code displayed in the image"

I dont see any automated timer running down till downloaded..

OK looks like it has changed a bit since I last did a free download through Megaupload. I'm a permium member so I don't usually see it this way.

After you click the link it will take you to a Megaupload page.
In the upper right you will be prompted to enter a letter code and then hit the download button..

After you hit download you'll get to this screen where it counts down until the free download is ready.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/wendla00/mega2.jpg

Once the count down completes click on free download.. see below

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/wendla00/mega3.jpg

Once you click free download you'll be able to save the .rar file to your computer.

Hope that helps. Good luck :)
