Donuts for burger buns..sure why not.
I had a "hurler" in cape cod at a baseball game. A bacon cheese (actually cheez whiz) burger between two dunkin' donuts jelly donuts.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

But I'll have to try them with some krispy kream donuts as buns. I'm sure it's a heart attack waiting to happen. 0 -

You are so right - donuts should be a "once in awhile" treat.... too much fat.*********************************************************************************************

Cider doughnuts from the gas station bakery on Route 5 in Westminster, VT.
Or, alternatively, cider doughnuts right from the vat at Cold Mill Cider in Stowe, VT.
Mmmmmmmmm. *french crueller-I can't find any in my area...but did have more than my fair share in Cananananana-dah
*Bavarian Creme-though I do get picky about some of these as sometimes the creme tastes like banana spooge (being allergic to naners I am justified)
*Apple Fritter-again, some apple fritters are better than othersThe joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I haven't had a donut in probably years but long johns and Bavarian cremes were tops. There used to be this place close to where I grew up called Amy Joy and we would go there every Sunday for donuts. Vanilla long john or the Dunkin' Donuts' old fashioned.0

after a bunch of people posted 'long john' I had to look it up...and I have never heard it called that before.
I've only seen 'maple bars' and 'chocolate maple bars' (which are the same donut, just with chocolate...no maple) we don't have the vanilla kind.
freaking east coast/midwest has all the cool sounding donuts. Cider donuts...sound yummy.
and I've asked for my chocolate maple bars to be filled with custard. Bakery lady thought I was weird...

ok...I guess it's just the PNW...from Wiki: In the Pacific Northwest, a Long John topped with maple-flavored icing is colloquially known as a Maple bar.The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
