"From the stage, the best crowd/show of all time, an acid trip of Argentinian passion. Hard to explain not only what we were seeing but what we were feeling....first time in a long time that I couldn't sleep after a show.
Still processing it....

I can't see it on their fb? maybe region-locked?

I think it may be region blocked too.
My FB must be set to California region since that is where I live at the moment, although I am from Argentina!

Still, it is a beautiful message.
I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream...
If I knew where it was I would take you there.

wow that's awesome! congrats to everyone down there. I wonder why a second show wasn't added like in 2005; any clue how many people were at this show?

    I think 40.000
The venue on 2005 was smaller, maybe 25.000 (?). First show sold out, and many of us went to both shows.

This time it didn´t sold out, the main reason for me was the prices.
But after that show, I have no doubts next time they´ll play 2 or maybe 3 times.

ps: jeff message is so nice, hope somebody tells him all uruguayan fans were there too! :)

I think it is region coded. I am pretty certain it is.

Although I am from Argentina and have an Argentine FB page, I have been living in CA, and I get advertisements that are related to California. I had to make a new FB account and verify it with an Argentine cellphone number, and only then could I see Jeff's message. I went to all that trouble because I wanted to see it for myself, it was driving me crazy (although a friend was kind enough to show me a print screen). It is beyond weird, but that is FB for you. Really makes you wonder...

Once again... THANK YOU PEARL JAM for the show of my lifetime. And I am happy that we could gift you with some Argentine energy and shower you with love. :)

I hope that night in Buenos Aires stays with you forever, as it will in all of us who were present for that magical night. The only sad thing is I don't think I will ever love a show as much as I did that one, it has set the bar way too high. Too too high.

Unless you come back again soon. Please do!!!

The "stil processing" part makes me feel a LOT better about not being able to think about anything else since I walked out of the venue. I was starting to worry about this obsession.

I don't know about the official dvd release, but I do know about the fan-made, and it's gonna be intense!
    Be prepared!!!! =)

It's definitely coded by region, Marina. I cannot see it either.

    +

My guess is that both venues, 2005 and 2011, can hold the same number of people...

In 2005 both dates were booked beforehad, but the tickets for the second one were available later on, a couple of weeks later, not that they added the second one later. On this ocasion, it seems that all dates were booked beforehand as well, only one for Buenos Aires, however, in 2005 the general admission ticket was 20 USD, and the concert was held in an arena located in downtown Buenos Aires;this time the GA ticket was around 70, and the most expensives tickets almos 150 USD, besides, the arena was located around 50 KM away from downtown Buenos Aires.

A friend of mine bought the cheapest ticket and told me that she was seated far away from the stage, and being shortsighted does not help, but she had fun all the same, however, she wasn't familiar with the city, so she got lost and by the time she arrived at the bus station, all buses had gone, so she arrived home at 6 am.
Many of my friends could not afford the most expensive ticket and didn't want to pay the cheapest one to be that far away; others who like the band didn't go because they were not willing to go to La Plata to see any show of any band...

So, my opinion is that the promoter didn't book another date because he thought it won't profitable, not enough people would pay that amount of money twice. The issue is that the Buenos Aires government prohibited concerts in most soccer arenas, because arenas are within the neighbourhoods, so that's why they are held away from the city now, however, someone paid enough money to run 10 Roger Waters concerts next year at River Plate Stadium, which is located in a residential area and whose neighbours were the first to petition the authorities to ban concerts there... tickets for RW are around a thousand USD, a little more, a little less...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

I think Youtube will tell you that.
There was so much energy in that place I don't think there's words....

I honestly don't know where to start. I recommend Even Flow, Jeremy, BLACK, betterman and alive from the show...
actually all the songs show what happened, but maybe the end of black is the most appropiate one.

I´ll just frame my poster (it´s a variant, did you know ? 8-) ) and maybe i´ll make a nice print of Jeff´s words separately and paste them around the poster inside the frame...just as a detail.
