How Does Mike Know Duff?

I mean, I know they are both musicians, and i remember from my Hal.Recipe "PJ Family Tree" that Duff was in some band that was ancillarily related to PJ and "the scene", but anyone know how Mike knows and is "friends" with him?

noticed reading his tumblr page (http://mikemccreadypj.tumblr.com/page/2) that he is reading his "friend" Duff's book.

    Interesting they went to highschool together.

    Duff stole Mike's bicycle in grade school. He was talking about it when he hosted a segment on PJ radio.

    Another Duff-"grunge" connection is that he was on a flight to Seattle with Kurt Cobain two days before Cobain killed himself (and may have been one of the last people to see Cobain). If I recall correctly, Duff said that he didn't notice anything particularly off about Kurt but that, then again, he (Duff) was so messed up, and so many people in his world at that time were usually messed up, that if Kurt seemed abnormally messed up, he probably wouldn't have noticed it.
