I thought it would be fun to rank all the albums by a bunch of different bands.

Might as well start with my favorite: the mighty Zep. If anyone wants to start other bands' threads that would be cool.

    great thread idea...i'll start one after i do this...
    ranking zeppelin albums is tough...after some debate my list looks like:


    1.) Houses of the Holy
    2.) Physical Graffiti
    3.) Led Zeppelin IV
    4.) Led Zeppelin III
    5.) Presence
    6.) Led Zeppelin I
    7.) Led Zeppelin II
    8.) In Through The Out Door
    9.) Coda

    the crazy thing is there's such a small margin between the first 7 albums it's incredible.

    This is going to be like ranking The Beatles' albums, very tough. I don't even know if I have a favorite Zep album. Here goes my attempt. This can all change after I finish writing it.

    I actually like Hats Off, but I don't know how they left Hey Hey What Can I Do off that album. It's the Binaural of LZ as far as poor decisions of what songs to keep. (or I guess Binaural is the LZIII of PJ.)

    I agree. Hey Hey What Can I Do is amazingly underrated. But I don't know if it fits on the album. I may have to try it out, taking out Hats Off and substituting Hey Hey.

    Play Friends/Celebration Day/Hey Hey, like on the boxed set. Then just delete Hats Off if you don't like it.

    Did you know somebody destroyed the beginning of Celebration Day, so they had to blend it with the end of Friends? :lol:

    1) Albums I couldn't live without
    Houses of the Holy, Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin IV, Physical Graffiti

    2) Albums I could live without...BUT WON'T!

    Nice...It was also released as a split single with Black Sabbath Paranoid as the b-side.

    I didn't know about that. I thought Page just wanted to do that.

    I wonder if Page is working on remasters/reissues?
