same as everyone else... if the price is right id be game.
Id say you'd get most interest for something like $20 "tickets" and limit it to 50 to make $1000 - about the ebay going rate. Some people could buy multiple if they wanted/were willing to spend more and better their 1/50 chance...
A little high on that estimate I think....more like $6-700 isnt it? Maybe on wrong......
Not sure - I see one for $787 with 3 days left to bid....
Also, as others have mentioned there could be a donation to some charities on the forum ($200-$300?) to keep it a win-win-win for all (except those who lose lol)...

Yeah, it seems like $700 is the average going rate. I think that if you threw some of your earnings toward a tax-deductible Wishlist charity, you might be able to get this done. Just get in touch with the folks at 10 Club to see.
Idea: If permitted, it might work in both your and possible participants' favor to limit the number of entries to 10 and charge $70-$75 per entry (one entry per household), which was, I think, the original price (plus shipping) for the set -- $700-$750 total, $500 to you (not too shabby for a $70-$75 purchase) and $200-$250 to charity.

The original price was $35+$11 shipping =$46 but I don't feel that many people are willing to throw in that much. I doubt many would even put in $35. If I set the price at $20 x 50 entries, that makes the most sense. I'm not so concerned with how many and how much at this point. It's more rather an unwillingness to have a criminal record for racketeering. I'm having trouble wading through legal writings on "private lotteries" which appear to be illegal. However the legal side of lotteries are either run by the government or are considered "charitable lotteries" (non-profit orgs) of which I am neither.
Is there someone who can point out a source to prove that this would be legal? I'd like to get this up and running but a bit a caution might prove beneficial.
