this is just another form of auctioning and unless the $$$ go to charity is kind of ridiculous to say it'll be pocketed money.

but if all but one person wants to waste $20 or more then what can you do.

same as everyone else... if the price is right id be game.

Id say you'd get most interest for something like $20 "tickets" and limit it to 50 to make $1000 - about the ebay going rate. Some people could buy multiple if they wanted/were willing to spend more and better their 1/50 chance...

I'm pretty sure that a certain percentage of the money you collect has to go to a charity for this to be close to legal.

that was my thought as well.

but it's not my record. i wish it was....because i'd be spinning it right now!! :D

if the lottery price is reasonable, i might be in. if my chances are slim-to-none (depending on how many tickets you sell/how much you want to "earn" from it), then i'm out. i just want to play the damn records....i don't care how much they're worth.

one more thing....this thread might get locked unless some "rules" are put in place. just sayin'.

Hell, I'll even take one that was chewed on by a dog... :D

You might need to plan this out a little more and make sure you're not going to get in any trouble... Of course if the price is right I'm in.

It depends on the state that you're in. That is, saying, you're within the United States. I'd say he's good unless someone reported it.
