I'm still sort of upset there was no poster for this event. I would have gladly paid $50 with all of it going to charity. I guess I will order a shirt and frame it to add to concert wall of posters. I still need to get my Irving Plaza shirt framed too!
Any chance you were in the Loge, Row H? I was behind someone who took pictures all night and I saw their screen and they looked like they were going to be good pics and these look like they might have been they same.
For the people that think this was disappointing, which I've already heard, I dont know what to tell you. We are getting so spoiled by this band. We are holding them to absurd expectations. They cant win. What more can this fucking band do for us? This band pours their heart and soul out for us every night. They fucking rule!!! GREAT GREAT TOUR. Good night.

I would've loved to have seen this set! I followed most of the tour "live" on the pit and spin and enjoyed them all. Always a downer when posters pop in to the threads to say "not impressed". Even from in front a computer screen, this was an awesome tour. Thank you, guys, you're the greatest!
Awesome show last night! Perhaps the best I've seen them. Here are some of my thoughts:
-Ed sounded incredible. Perhaps it was the steroid shot he had after Mansfield II? In fact, the overall sound of the venue was great.
-Loved the acoustic opening, Ed saying they were going to ease into it/let it build or something along those lines.
-Who You Are, WMA, All Night, Harvest Moon--all stuff (I think?) I haven't heard live before, all sounded great!
-Crowd was mixed. There were some crazy drunk a-holes in our section (upper balcony, left side). Luckily we were in the "front" row of the upper balcony so we had some breathing room. LOTS of frat-boy types.
-However, crowd knew a lot of songs you wouldn't expect them to know, and the sing alongs were crazy good.
-Everyone was handed a copy of Ten and some literature on Robin Hood, and a form to order a t-shirt.
I'm sure I had more in mind, but I'm way tired, at work after such a long night. No voice today!

Long time casual Pearl Jam fan , until last week at MSG2 I had never seen the band live, but it was so good last week I had to see them again last night.
I loved both shows ! I will admit, I did not know all the songs, but their musicianship is so good I enjoyed them anyway. And of course I loved all the songs I knew.
Last night was great, I loved the way Mike and Eddie interact with the crowd down close. I was up in the balcony , what a weird angle way up there , but it was cool. Anyone up close had a great shot at getting a pick , a tamborine, a handshake or some wine ! One thing that comes through loud and clear to me is the band loves the fans and cares about people, I have alot of respect for that.
The end of the show was great with Alive and Baba Oreilly !!
I didnt make a post on MSG2 , but I have been to alot of shows of bands that I love, U2 , Van Halen, AC/DC , but I have never seen a whole crowd going nuts like I did at MSG , it was pretty nuts there !
I wish I would have seen this band a long time ago , but glad I finally did , I loved the shows !

had an awesome time. Mixed crowd as alot of people have said. I felt like my section in the loge was the worst in the house. Guys next to me were so lame. They weren't very happy during the acoustic beginning but i loved it.
My dad and i moved to the first row of the loge toward the end of the first encore; such good seats i think.
Saw Black for the first time in 4 shows this tour. Ed sang his heart out toward the end. Undone kicked ass. I think Last Kiss in the second encore kinda killed the momentum. Would have rather seen a song like Comatose or something.
Great show though, loved every minute. Sorry the tour is over, but cant wait for next time.

This was my 12th pj show and I will agree those of us in the northeast have been very spoiled and have almost unfair expectations of the band, which they always reach anyway. Actually I'm digressing, my point here about this crowd at the Beacon. I was very very disappointed. Let me explain in a little more detail. I am fortunate enough financailly that my hobby can be to see my favorite band many times, whether it means flying to chicago, going to atlantic city, up to boston, and back to camden. So as a new yorker when I heard I can see PJ at the legendary beacon up close for 2500$ i said "ok its a once in a lifetime deal, go for it". I knew there was a charity/ wall street element but the way I figured it would be absolute die hards who would shell out this dough for that kind of a show. This will be the first time and probabaly the last time PJ will play here, and I don't even have to travel I thought. And I didn't just assume that because the tickets were ridiculously expensive that it would exclude die hards. Just because someone was very wealthy doesnt mean they can't be a real PJ fan. Anyway that was my train of thought and let me just say about the crowd, from my personal experience in the orchestra first 15 rows: there were about 20% of us die hards, 40 % casual music fans, 25% not really into it until they heard even flow and alive, and 15% (for lack of a better term) absolute stiff-hedge fund-were only there for a free charity event that they thought would be a hoot-as they stood there dead still-on their blackberry douchebags.
As I sat in this crowd I thought a couple of things, I wish I was upstairs with the die hards rocking out, I couldn't see them but I assumed they were, and 2. I really appreciate the 10club fans and how they help make the show. They are a vital ingredient to making it an amazing experience for the whole arena. People that have been fans for years, now almost decades have the best seats and it funnnels outward from the front row all the way to the very top seats at a normal PJ show. Its contagious. Its balls to the walls from the front row and everyone behind catches it. Then the band catches it and they give it right back and they make a memorable experience that everyone can cherish. I know this is idea is nothing new, but I had never, in 11 previous shows, been to a show that wasn't dominated by the 10club contagion. Last night it wasn't. And I feel it suffered from that point. I know the boys in the band were tired from touring, but I really felt the band halfway through the show had a downshift in energy when they realized the crowd wasn't giving it 100%. Maybe that was just my experience but I think others will agree. And the point of this post isnt to complain about last night or ask for sympathy since I spent so much money on a ticket. The point for me is more that this could have been a legendary experience, one for the ages, I mean it was the ultimate billing: Pearl Jam, New York City, Beacon Theatre. But the majority of the crowd wasn't giving the energy that last night deserved. some people weren't even fans. I had a great time, and it was a special, unique pearl jam show. but we're so lucky that collectively we are all such great fans that we make all the other shows like no other rock show on the planet. So for that I feel really lucky to be a part of it . I just expected more from the people in attendene last night.

You really felt apart of something especially after John Sykes spoke.
The entire gig felt like a happy party with Pearl Jam playing live! To me it seemed like it did not matter what song the band played just to have them playing and sounding so incredible was enough to make everyone really into it and appreciate it.
Not to mention an incredibly chilling and touching version of Light Years.
Very cool to see Undone live as well.

I agree with some of it too. From what I could see of the lower section, they didn't seem that into some of the lesser known songs. The balcony, however, was totally rockin!

yeah the guy next to me was looking at me like i was an alien for jumping up and down, and he thought he was really funny mocking me. in my head i was like go home youre at a friggin pj show, but i went with the nonverbal route and just jumped for 2 hours straight when he probabaly figured id stop after a song.

The Beacon is just a special place to see a show, beautiful venue. Great job by the boys.....this tour was amazing, I'm totally spent.

Anyway that was my train of thought and let me just say about the crowd, from my personal experience in the orchestra first 15 rows: there were about 20% of us die hards, 40 % casual music fans, 25% not really into it until they heard even flow and alive, and 15% (for lack of a better term) absolute stiff-hedge fund-were only there for a free charity event that they thought would be a hoot-as they stood there dead still-on their blackberry douchebags.
As I sat in this crowd I thought a couple of things, I wish I was upstairs with the die hards rocking out, I couldn't see them but I assumed they were, and 2. I really appreciate the 10club fans and how they help make the show. They are a vital ingredient to making it an amazing experience for the whole arena. People that have been fans for years, now almost decades have the best seats and it funnnels outward from the front row all the way to the very top seats at a normal PJ show. Its contagious. Its balls to the walls from the front row and everyone behind catches it. Then the band catches it and they give it right back and they make a memorable experience that everyone can cherish. I know this is idea is nothing new, but I had never, in 11 previous shows, been to a show that wasn't dominated by the 10club contagion. Last night it wasn't. And I feel it suffered from that point. I know the boys in the band were tired from touring, but I really felt the band halfway through the show had a downshift in energy when they realized the crowd wasn't giving it 100%. Maybe that was just my experience but I think others will agree. And the point of this post isnt to complain about last night or ask for sympathy since I spent so much money on a ticket. The point for me is more that this could have been a legendary experience, one for the ages, I mean it was the ultimate billing: Pearl Jam, New York City, Beacon Theatre. But the majority of the crowd wasn't giving the energy that last night deserved. some people weren't even fans. I had a great time, and it was a special, unique pearl jam show. but we're so lucky that collectively we are all such great fans that we make all the other shows like no other rock show on the planet. So for that I feel really lucky to be a part of it . I just expected more from the people in attendene last night.
the title of this post is in reference to every other show apart from this beacon one to be clear. its kind of confusing, sorry im new at this.

You really felt apart of something especially after John Sykes spoke.
The entire gig felt like a happy party with Pearl Jam playing live! To me it seemed like it did not matter what song the band played just to have them playing and sounding so incredible was enough to make everyone really into it and appreciate it.
Not to mention an incredibly chilling and touching version of Light Years.
Very cool to see Undone live as well.

I agree with some of it too. From what I could see of the lower section, they didn't seem that into some of the lesser known songs. The balcony, however, was totally rockin!

yeah the guy next to me was looking at me like i was an alien for jumping up and down, and he thought he was really funny mocking me. in my head i was like go home youre at a friggin pj show, but i went with the nonverbal route and just jumped for 2 hours straight when he probabaly figured id stop after a song.
