i need to find out when our office is doing it so i can take that day off...

bah humbug with your stupid office chirstmas crap :P

at least serve eggnog and rum you cheap bastards

when the email goes out about the holiday luncheon, I will immediatly send email to my boss asking for that day off.

    exactly....

so today it happened......I am in my boss's office, we are working on stuff, I have my laptop on her desk and the email comes out about the holiday luncheon, it's next Friday. So I immediately say "oh, by the way, can I have off um, next Friday? " This happens just a few moments after she said "hang on a minute, I need to finish this email" it was the email to her assistant about the luncheon, which the assistant then sent out to everyone.

 she knows me well enough and we have a good laugh about it. she basically said "if I have to be there, then so do you"

bahahahahhaha! I tried getting out of going to the holiday party (first since it was always held on a weeknight) and I got told, "you are basically a manager, so you have to be there" :x

watching the news and laughing at all the newscasters using 'lingo'

"Here we are outside the International Fountain, a group of people waiting to 'burn the midnight weed'"

"I think they may get a case of the 'midnight munchies'"

"...the company will 'roll out' new retail stores as soon as they can"

"So midnight tokers, before you 'roll another joint', just remember...if you try to smoke outdoors, the police have made it clear that for the next month, they won't be doing anything besides tell you to take it somewhere else"

I kinda feel like I'm living in a Cheech and Chong movie...

"if i ride my bike across the bridge into WA & start smoking a joint once i'm in WA, but don't finish it & decide to keep smoking it on my way back into OR...could i be arrested?":lol::lol::lol::lol:
