WOW, that's a pretty fuckin' great idea!!!

And yes, there were the bootleg microphones on both side of the stage in Madrid, Poland and Austria as well!!!

In Munich the video cameras were rolling to. Ed even made faces or something to one.

yeah he said something like "what's that smoke? that's bad smoke, bad smoke"

they played really loud this evening and eds microphone was blown during save you, maybe it was too much for the PA :D

yeah, the show was absolutely loud... i was wondering what other people thought about the sound and the crowd's enthusiasm.

I personally loved the sound at the front, it mirrored the power of the band...and had a really great time and comfort by singing aloud jumping up and down without being pushed or victim of moshing/crowdsurfing!!!

in my opinion, the best show of the tour! so far...

    1. lots of space to rock around and no bone crushing experiances

    2. light Years!!!!

    3. Eddie eknowledged our groupe from Israel, me holding the big flag in front sent us kisses, ran down the big stage to the crowd - and handed me the tambourine during RITFW!!!!

I´m a happy happy girl right now... I guess I´ve got everything I set out for

P.S - pleaaaassseeee!!!!!!!!!!! anyone who has photos/videos from this show, I need them, would love to relive it over and over and over again...

    Uummm... yes, pretty much
Missed madrid, but I don´t believe it came close to Munich, Nova, or london

Blew away in venice also, that one was prob. the worst...

so, Eddie gave me the tambo and then went on to shake hands of fans all along the t barrier, then he gave the second tambo to the Irish fan with the flag on mike´s side, then ran back up and almost broke his neck stumbling back up on the high stage...

That´s all I know, I was too extatic to notice anything!

I got another story from the show, i first didn't want to post it but anyway.

After Linkin Park i got in the Wavebreaker Section with a girlfriend, and accidently we lost each other cause everyone was treying to get in as fast as possible, after that i wantet ti call her with my cellphone but she turned her's off because the battery was low. So i was there standing alone the whole concert, and when i got back to our tent her brother how was also with us told me there was a pit when they played go and she was in it, and unfortunately somewhow she fell down and people trampled her almost, after that she left the concert puking but "luckely" she got away with bruises..

It was a cool show, the best part was Light Years and Einat getting the tambourine. I just stood there in disbelief :o It was a great view. right across them and then Eddie came over, towards us, the guy who got the flag was on the rail after us, towards the middle. he was so close to all of us, unbelievable.

Ricsard, I guess we missed each other this tour. I saw your friend in London, that blonde girl, Gyongy or sth. :o But didnt see you in Vienna or London.
My tour is over, I had a blast. esp in London :D

    Hey Sid,
I was paying extra attention to fans I got to know last year in every venue I've been to this year...but except for Oscar and the Hungarian community I saw not even a single familiar face :( I didn't see you in the exausting Polish 10c line... I was kinda happy when I found the "Podravka" :D group sitting on the floor after the show in Katowice but you weren't there with them... and meeting you on Saturday in that damn packed huge Pannonia Field had only little chance...I guess, unlucky you were there in Venice, hopefully you and your friends are OK as well! It's great to read that PJ schedule/dreams got right finally for your last two shows! How many shows did you attend btw???
Yes, blonde Gyöngylekvár was there for rockandroll in London with you but still haven't heard of her Wembley experience

Nova Rock was damn good, fast, powerful but still safe for us, I read/heard some critical statements they were disappointing but we enjoyed it so I don't really care how could they have been better in Austria according to others...only with a longer set for sure...but after Madrid and Katowice it was not a surprise for me at all... And I am not bitching about these shorter shows 'cos they're still more than I could have imagined 6 months ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kinda sceptical I am right now PJ will play more than a 2 hour set in Nijmegen (there will be Kings Of Leon and the fantastic Incubus playing so it's really likely Eddie& co have little time to rock on stage because of last trains and curfew:( ) still enthusiastic though!!!!!!

Well I don't know about the rest of this years tour, because this was the only PJ concert for me. And yes, they were amazing (definitely too short and all, and who really needed the fireworks at the end?), but I still prefer seeing them in solo concerts (I guess they spoiled me completely last year in Zagreb). I didn't go into the pit, because I was with a friend who is not a big fan, so we decided to stay in the midsection. I did get right to the fence, so I got a great view, but was standing in the middle of the laziest people I ever saw on a concert. As they started playing and I went into my PJ concert mode (dancing, singing, screaming and all ...) everybody around me stood completely still and watched me like I was from another planet. I really expected people to be more excited, but they just stood still and observed. I turned around a couple of times to see what's going on behind me, but it didn't seem much better. Even the mosh pit seemed kinda still (which made me regret not going to the front even more - I expected it to be much more violent; however at that point I really couldn't go anywhere from where I was standing). I guess the prespective in front was quite different but it felt like there weren't enough of PJ fans in the crowd (when I talked to some people before the concerts most of them seemed to be 30 seconds to Mars fans - btw is it just me or was Jared Leto really annoying), I guess a lot were a bit too young to really appreciate Pearl Jam the way they should be appreciated.
    :)
However it was the highlight of this summer and I hope they come back really soon!

Here are some photos form the concert. This is as much as I could do with my crapy camera with all the dust and the rain ...

    Manca, thanks!

I was pressed to the palisade (?) so I couldn't jump just sing and headbang :)
but you're right, the audiance was not really loud!

Fans didn't sing or cheered too loud at all...but we didn't have to be victim of a frenzy at the front like in Katowice. I personally loved the fact we had the possibility to sing along and shout safely!!!

Yeah, but getting to the rail, moshing threu the crowd of a gazillion 30 seconds to Mars and LP fans was hell for me. :(
I was so pissed off when they werent giving us water. Squashed between 10 ppl, Steph and I, it was horrible. so sweaty and thirsty, listening to that crap :D
I got mad and cried cause of it, then screamed to give me some fucking water. After maybe 15-20 mins, I got a sip or two, didnt last long, but it helped.Nova rock was hell for me, but once we got the the rail, it was fine ;) It took us like 3 hours and a thousand of sweaty and smelly Linking Park fans, but oh well, we got Ligh Years :D

    Hello all!

I went to Novarock from England to see Pearl Jam due to not being able to get tickets for the Wembly gig (despite being a 10c member, but by the time I got home from the school run I couldnt get tickets) and refusing to pay upwards of £200 for a ticket on eBay! Anyway, I have seen PJ 5 times and this was undoubtedly the best I have ever seen them! :)

The set list was fast paced and just fantastic! The band were tight and, well, excellent! I really enjoyed myself and it was like a dream come true after the tears of not getting tickets in England.

A week later and I am still on cloud 9 from the festival! :) I was also at the front near the right speaker/screen! Nearest I have ever been to them too. Amazing evening as Pearl Jam have been the one think that has been consistent for me in the last 15 years, and now the two friends I took along understand why... and they have both bought PJ albums since returning home.

    Great great show! :)

    xx

I heard they just didn't want to be on it. because on some shirts they printed pearl jam, but then an big "Nova Rock" on it.....so the band didn't want to be on it, but dunno why...

    best fuckin band ever....

I think I was in a world of my own at the front barrier... singing along! I thought it rocked and I also thought the sound quality was miles better than that of Wembly last time they were over.. where the sound quality was dire!

    I had a great time anyway! :D

Apparently Manson was AWFUL! I had heard that he was pretty bad at Download too... which is a shame as he usually puts on a top show!

I got the 'Beautiful people' reference... ;)

Shame about the T-Shirt thing. I never took PJ to be diva-ish! :( That shocked me a bit....

Nevermind, we don't know the reasons for sure and at least it was easy for us at the festival to decide what T-shirts we should buy >> PJ or Nova Rock :p !!!
I was standing at the right screen trying to sing as loud as possible with my!!! The sound I think was all right...very loud, really powerful but only OK (8/10) where we were standing! We felt there were not that many PJ fans at the front but maybe I am just wrong, I don't know! (I've never heard Betterman and Jeremy with such a silent crowd response)

True re the T-Shirts! Although I spent all my euros on cocktails! Opps!!

Hey! I was on the right too, by the screen! I was completely oblivious to everyone else around me though... I was in a very happy, smiley world of my own that night :)

Seeing two of my favorite bands (PJ and Stonesour) in one day kept me on a natural high! ;)
