  • if someone was going to give up that much just for the orpheum, they could just sell it and almost have enough for the full box set

I'm not asking for all of it. that's just everything I'm looking for.

  • Is this record really valuable when separated from the boxset? I would think an item like this should be considered flawed and therefore easier to attain.

both this and Drop in the Park go for $100 easy. And since this one is rarer than DITP (this box only available through 10C, Ten box was sold in stores), that last one I saw on ebay was about $150.

A copy last night ended at $78 so I think there is a little bit more supply to the 2ndary market after the latest push and promotion by the 10c. Just my 2 cents. Carry on and good luck with your search!

could very well be. the secondary market is also unstable sometimes. I sold my first DITP from my set for a lowly $30. 7 day auction. I bought it again for $60. traded it away, then bought my third copy for $90 I think. I lost out BIG time on that one! I'm not all that good at this trading game!

Don't keep score or it will take away from enjoying the item. As for me, I buy something to enjoy it and then if/when a time comes where I am ready to move on and trade/sell/give away/donate it, I will. This way, it frees up funds to go and enjoy something else until the next one and so on. Sometimes you are on the end of something rising in value while you enjoy it and sometimes the opposite. In the end, its probably a wash and as long as you enjoy the item you have at the moment, then that's all you can ask for (IMO).

I don't keep score, actually. it just kind of makes me laugh how I went about it when I was doing it. the first time I sold it, it was because I needed the money. Unfortunately, it didn't work out the way I had planned. then I went through a phase where I thought I wanted boots instead of vinyl, so I traded all my vinyl for the 2000 European boot set. Big mistake. I'm never getting rid of it again. I love listening to it. You're right, the money doesn't matter. mainly because I don't have any.

I'm only trading this one because I'll have two when my VS deluxe box arrives.
