    Amen - Coma America

I haven't listened to Amen in years
I'm going through boxes of cd's to fill up a new hard drive after losing everything when my shitty Hewlett Packard laptop gave up the ghost. I have 3000 cd's not including my PJ stuff!
I love the intensity of Amen. What a mental vocalist too, he finished gigs bleeding from some prety nasty wounds sometimes. :?

3000! I don't feel anywhere near as bad, I think with CD and vinyl (and including PJ stuff) I'm around the 1500 album mark.

-Boss Hog, S/T I must find my copy of this, not heard it in about 5 years!!
-The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Extra Width Is this any god, I saw some poor reviews?

I think it's been about five years for me too, maybe longer?..I forgot how much I liked it. Now I need to find Boss Hog vinyl.. If you're a JSBX fan you'll like Extra Width. As far as it getting poor reviews, I'm sure all of their albums have gotten equal amounts. Actually, I think it was a negative review that led me to them in the first place?.. Either you get the noise or you don't.. I think?..Anyway, definitely worth checking out..

I know plenty people who only seem to hear one noise with TMV but for me they're one of the most innovative bands in decades. Scab Dates was a bit of a struggle at first but it's all good now. I loved At The Drive-In and Defacto too but they have progressed way beyond those now. I saw TMV live and they played for 1hr 45mins but they only played 6 songs. They completely draw you in to the performance. Omar Rodriguez is amazing to watch and he has some great solo albums too.

Touche, great fucking taste, I absolutely adore TMV, all of them. I know of no-one else who can stomach more than ten seconds. Frances The Mute is one of my all time favourite albums.
