Eels are long time favourite of mine. I haven't seen them mentioned here much either but Mark Everett is hugely talented as are the musicians he surrounds himself with. I'm a big fan of the Souljacker album too but I've never had a favourite. Useless Trinkets is one of the best b-side/rarities albums by any band too. Depressing band but somehow fun with it?

Spot on. They've become a little less depressing over the years I think. I saw them twice on the last tour a few months ago and their shows are so much fun and mostly positive now. Such an underrated and overlooked band.
