Toronto Screening: Body of War - PJ fans need your support

Hey guys,
First off I have to say thanks to the Message Pit for all the attention it has driven to the Toronto screening of BOW. It is the number one source for our website's traffic.
Unfortunately, none of this traffic has been ended up in a transaction for tickets or a donation :(
Just to remind you, the proceeds are going to the local chapter of IVAW in Toronto who are using the funds for the War Resister Support Campaign, I encourage you to read about their stories: http://resisters.ca/index_en.html
Things are evolving with the screening and the awareness level is kicking into high gear. We will be postering with IVAW across Toronto this week. Also, I have been contacted by Edge 102 to appear on air for an interview to discuss the screeningI will post the details once I have them but it looks like it will be Friday Oct 31st
There are a multitude of reasons to support this cause, I will highlight a few:
- if you don't agree with the US\Canadian involvement in the War, proceeds go to IVAW which is one of the largest anti-war organization in North America and if you want to support further awareness and growth of their campaign.... then you should support this event
- if you think the Canadian government should follow its own precedent by providing sanctuary and allow war resisters to remain in our country... then you should support this event
- if you think Prime Minister Harper should follow public opinion and allow war resisters to remain in our country... then you should support this event
- if you think Prime Minister Harper should follow a motion set by the Canadian Parliament which allows war resisters to remain in our country... then you should support this event
- if you agree with Eddie's involvement with Body Of War... then you should support this event
- if you want to see a damn good movie and want to take advantage of the opportunity to hear people speak of their experiences in Iraq... then you should support this event
A successful event will make a substantial difference in the lives of the war resisters and their campaign to remain in Canada. By raising the awareness of the war resister campaign enormous pressure will be put on the Canadian government to follow their own precedent, the will of their people, and the will of their Parliament which can attain the goal of stopping the deportation of war resisters.
One of the most effective contribution methods you can provide would be to forward the screening info out to your contact list, here is an evite link that you can use:
http://64.34.52.140/BOW/bow_evite.html
or you can just point them to our website:

Any contribution will make a difference, trust me. I have been fortunate enough to meet local IVAW members in Toronto and hear their stories. These stories deserve proper media coverage and support, in its absence let's take things into our own hands and educate people.
Please help me make this event an overwhelming success, we can make a significant difference here on so many levels.....
PS. Here are some current stories that you can read about:

I'd love to see this documentary again, especially to support a good cause like this one. It just falls on a bad night for me.
For those unsure of going it's only $11, and I doubt you'll be disappointed. You can buy the tickets on the site JebRand listed. And for those who prefer hard tickets or aren't Internet savvy Rotate This has them for $15. http://www.rotate.com/tickets.php0 -

Hey Lukin, that is actually incorrect. They should be selling the tickets for $11, all the outlets should be selling at the advanced ticket price. I think they are confused by the price on the actual printed ticket ($15).
I will get things straightened out.
Thanks0 -
