    There is actually a bread called Bimbo? With a mascot called Bimbo Bear? I thought that was a joke but I Googled it, how strange.

    I love shopping at Fairsley, I feel safe knowing that my children won't be abducted there and shipped off to a Pakistani whorehouse where they'll live out the rest of their lives in homoerotic servitude. Plus they ALWAYS have apples!!!

    Do they sell Mrs. Bairds bread in Austin? They were a Ft. Worth company that was bought by Bimbo several years ago. Yeah, I thought the name was ridiculous too but I think the parent company is in Mexico. Wonder what Bimbo means in Spanish? :think:

    the kit-kat commercial where there are no other sounds other than the theme song being sounded out by things like wrappers opening and the cruch of people biting into one...it really annoys me and that jingle gets stuck in my head every time i see that commercial...

    I assume they sell Mrs. Bairds in Austin, I thought they sold it everywhere, but I haven't been to Austin in a while, or shopped for groceries (other than beer) when I was there. I didn't know Bimbo (snicker) bought them.

    As for what Bimbo means in Spanish, this is what Wikipedia says about them:

    The name "Bimbo" has no specific meaning in Spanish; thus, the name has not caused significant uproar as it would in the United States, where the word "bimbo" has a negative connotation. The official theory believes that the name Bimbo, coined in 1945 when the company was rebranded from its previous name, Super Pan S.A., is the mixing of the words "bingo" and "Bambi". In addition, the innocent, childlike name went well with the brand image they wanted to build.

    i actually hate that commercial lol...it makes me resent kit-kats and NOT buy them...

    those sounds kind of gross me out. it is kind of like those old hardees/carl's jr commercials where people were biting into these big ass burgers and you can hear everything. including the salivary ducts releasing saliva LOL...
