I was thinking the Marriott in Miraflores would be the place. How about some sort of meetup on Thursday also? I am not sure if I can make it. Depends on what my family is up to. But I would love to try and see the band and maybe get a picture with Mike. What time are people stalking, I mean hanging out at the Marriott? And I also may try to swing by Miraflores at 10am like someone else said, just to meet other crazy people.

Yes 10:00 am in miraflores, Mc Donalds Kennedy Park.

Have just arrived in Lima. Travel agent booked us into a flash hotel in Miraflores Casa Andina Private Collection
    - when I saw it I hoped the band might be here too but it seems not
    - Marriot by the beach eh? any surfing for Eddie?

Anyways he has also arranged for a car to take us to the stadium at 6.00pm. Tickets say show starts at 9.00 so would 6.00 pm be too late?

I would like to tell him that 5.00 pm would be better - or will it be tooo early? Advice appreciated.

Also how far is the National Library for PJ20 movie from Miraflores and how would one get there?

i´m staying at hotel kamana http://www.hotelkamana.com/ it seems and arrive the night before in lima.

couple of questions - how far is the stadium from there? is it walking distance or would i need to get a taxi?

for ticket collection - i believe the nearest one according to http://www.tuentrada.com.pe/shops.asp is
Centro Civico Av. Inca Garcilazo de la Vega N° 1383 – Cercado de Lima. which looks like it's just done the road?

    Hi,

The stadium is quite far away, you should take a taxi (20-30 min, depending on traffic).

Centro Civico is quite close from where you are, a 10 min walk.

    I hope this helps

    Gracious!

One last question - after the show are there going to be buses around? Or can I just grab a taxi after the show?

    staying here http://www.hotelkamana.com/ubici.htm

won't be able to meet people at 10am ish, but i've got a ticket for ten club left side. Will have a olive green pearl jam 2006 world tour t-shirt on, english and have a beard, most likely be wearing glasses. So say hi if you see me around :D

I think doors open at 5pm (no later than 6). I'm going around 5 or so, I want to avoid the traffic after 6pm, which is awful hehe. You can get to the library by taxi or public transport, it is located in Javier Prado avenue and it should take you 25 min to get there (depending on traffic)

You will have to walk 10-20 minutes to a main avenue to get a bus (don't recommend it, public transport is a disaster here haha). Or u can always get a taxi, which is gonna be an adventure with so many people around.

    Hi milan, welcome to Peru...!!!
I think that good hour is before 5:00 pm, the doors open as this hour, so for stay in first line front to band we have go before 5:00 pm maximun.

I read a news that indicate that the TEN zone (left & right) will be join on the stadium, the only difference is the access door.

I will go tomorrow (thursday) to hotel for see the band and maybe to airport. The flight arrive as 3:00 pm

    Saludos,

Quine va tratar de ver a la banda en el hotel hoy y a que hora?
  • I arrive at 3 o'clock as well from Cuzco. Where can I meet up with Eddie? And who is going to pick me up? ;-) Any idea where you will hang around at the airport? I'll be having a huge backpack with a yellow bag around it. Please say hi if you see me wandering around. Would love to share a taxi to Miraflores with anyone!

Who's going to the library tonight? Probably have black bag with me, with two flowers on them! Documentary starts at 19h, right? Will have to fly around to have everything done in time. Priority is getting my ticket!

Tomorrow I don't wear any PJ T-shirts, but I'm blondish and taller than people from Peru :-)

  • Hermanos peruanos,

Espero que el show de esta noche sea ÉPICO, como lo fue para nosotros el miércoles y también 6 años atrás.

There was a lot people waiting for them last night, they didn't show up. They are all probably on the stadium, doing the soundcheck.

I couldn't make it at 10am, i live too far away from Miraflores.

First let me say it was great meeting all those that made it to the 10am meetup in Miraflores the day of the show. We had quite a diverse group. For those that were there, I took a picture of the group and would be happy to share it with you all. Just PM your email address and I will forward it along to you. It was great hanging out with everyone before and some during the show! I enjoyed hearing other people's PJ stories and it was fun sharing mine with someone that isn't tired of me talking about Pearl Jam. I also go to meet some other fans outside the hotel on Friday. One guy got his arm signed by Eddie Vedder, which I thought was cool. Another fan was nice enough to make custom Peru National Team jerseys for the band and was able to connect with Mike to give him his. Hopefully he was able to get the rest of them the other band members. Fun show, great crowd, and I hope all is well with everyone!
  • Yeah great to meet everyone! I got a couple group photos as well.

    Laddie are you in Arlington?
