Hi! Updating this post... I just bought flight to costa rica for the San Jose show nov 20th... If anyothers are coming from USA (I'm NY) let me know! Let's meet up! I have tickets in the alive... Front section....

updated- booked at crown plaza 5 min walk from stadium.. ill have extra room too... in alive section, and made a fbook group which may be easier to share links on..

PJ have never played CR, so this should be an excellent show.

Im wondering if tix are still available for either show?! I am looking for me, since Im headed solo, 99 percent sure. But may have a friend fly in from elsewhere too.. Im leaning toward CR since its cheaper for flights..

And for those going to CR show, which I most likely will go solo down there on.... I have a good friend who runs hotel aeropeurto 8 min from San Jose airport.. He d be glad to accommodate those who don't have a place yet..

There are like 1000 tickets to ALIVE which is the front section. Both ALIVE and THE END are GA, the other locations have numbered seats.

Thanks for doing this. I've been looking at stuff to do in Costa Rica today and will decide tomorrow.

Anyone else looking at hitting up the beaches, zip lines, rappelling, anything besides just staying in San Jose, etc....?

Mike, you're the best man! Just Purchased. Also a heads up.... It didn't go thru at first.. Chase bank requires you call them and verify u are purchasing thru a foreign site... When I did, it worked just fine... And the alive section most expensive, comes out to 106 bucks.. Not too bad!

Asking my friend, who works at hotel aeropeurto his advice.... Stay tuned! And I'm sure he can easily accommodate those who don't have a room yet too.... The hotel is right by the airport sjo. He says San Jose is super unsafe, and he says he will get back to me about reccomedations... The water is several hours drive away ugh.

Last time i was there i took some surfing lessons, did an awesome ATV tour in the rainforest, took a zip line tour and rafted the Pacuare which was rated as one of the top 10 rivers in the world by National Geographics. I will be there for 11 days starting the 17th and plan on doing a few adventures so let me know if you are going and we can do some cool shit.

Ill be coming down from Texas on the 15th, probably by myself. Waiting for the final verdict from a friend which should be coming very soon. Ill have an extra in the alive section if he bails. Going straight to the beach to surf a few days before I get back to SJ to get in line early. Sounds like people will be there early to be near the front so I reckon I will be too. Staying for a good while afterwards to surf, I spent about two and a half months there a few years back. It'd be cool to meet some folks from here. Damn I cant wait!

Any locals know closest hotels near the venue? I know Glenn mentioned barcelo real, any others to choose from?

Holy shit! I was looking at google maps and realized that barcelo hotel is where i stayed the last 4 days or so my last trip there. I had no idea the stadium is in that park. I think they must have broke ground on the thing a few weeks after i left, it was the middle of march in '09. If I remember correctly its kind of a business district area, kinda quiet at night (close to the hotel anyway). There should be some more hotels around. I do see what looks to be a hostel called Nomadas Backpackers on the map a few blocks to the northwest. There are some other small hotels in the barcelo area too. Guess I need to get on it and find a place too. Let me know if y'all find somewhere nice and affordable. Ill do the same.

ohm, cool... so u have stayed here? at barcelo? if its right by the stadium.. since ill be up early to get in line for the alive section anyway, may as well stay here.

I'll be in there with ya. The crowd is gonna be insane, so many that have never had the chance to see the band before. I waited all day on the front rail in front of mike at ACL in '09. Worth every second of the wait! Plan on getting as close as possible here too.

We havent booked anything but concert tix. We are all flying standby free or on buddy passes through the airlines from Houston. We are looking at the double tree or crowne plaza which are both supposed to be close.

Keep in touch we'd love to meet up with others from the US.
