Exactly what i think. The last album took 2 years of brooding and its the least inspiring piece of work the band have ever done, no emotion and no intensity that comes with working under the pressure of a deadline.
I agree with you so much it hurts. Even though the records themselves features a wide set of very different songs they always feel lika a unity. At least before Avocado... The only songs that I really like off that album is actually Life Wasted (don't know why but I began to like it again and now I like it even more than two years ago) and Army Reserve. I would never want them to go back to the Ten and VS days I would much rather see them do something experimental like No Code. I'd really like to see them push the boundaries and do what Radiohead did on Kid A.
I'll bet you a beneroya hall LP that it doesn't come out on that day.
