    Id rather wait longer and have another great album then have a somewhat good album in a shorter time
    Plus April 20th was the day Eddie heard the news about Layne Staley dying, I just think it would be a nice tribute of sorts to release an album on that day.

    i would venture a guess as next fall at the earliest...I read something recently where mike said that he wanted to get the stuff down tight in the studio before they recorded it, and that on the past few albums they haven't done that...not sure what he's talking about since avocado took 2 years to complete (which, one would think, would allow plenty of time to get it down in the studio), but that's what he said...

    Hell, they should just get on with it. Work on instict. Just do it, and get it out there.
    I mean, the turn around between Ten, Vs & Vitalogy was pretty damn sharp.
    Plus the intensity & passion in the studio during No Code.
    And those are some seriously fine pieces of work.

    Sometimes you can think things over way too long. The last album gets some shit on here, and that came 4 years after Riot Act!!

    Just do it guys. Don't sit on things too long.

    Exactly what i think. The last album took 2 years of brooding and its the least inspiring piece of work the band have ever done, no emotion and no intensity that comes with working under the pressure of a deadline.

    sadly i think its a pretty accurate guess. EVERYBODY (including the band at one point) thought the self titled album would be out around spring 2005, it ended up being may 2006. I would be surprised and happy to get it within the next year.
