    So Colorado at least CO SPR is getting its first snow.. I love watching snow fall.. but hate having to share the road with the idiots that don't know how the fuck to drive in it.. My first winter here.. hopefully the Coloradans know how to drive in snow.. One can hope right?

    I drove from Halifax to Sydney last night and, as often the case, Mount Thom (http://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/cameras/cameradetails.asp?id=Mt%20Thom) had clumps of snow along the highway that didn't melt with the rest of it.

    No snow yet here. We're supposed to get between 6-10", while the northwest part of CT is supposed to get over 10".

    the last two mornings i wake up to a frozen bird bath that sits on my patio. the thing is actually in my bedroom waking me up. it's a cold cement bastard filled with ice water. it is not snowing outside.

    I frequently go out with very hot water and thaw ours all winter
    my birdies like that, sometimes there is not enough room on the edge
    to hold them all and they wait in line to enjoy :D

    just tried to drive, had to turn back. More trees and branches down than from Hurricane Irene. The snow is very wet and heavy. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose power - lines are all drooping.

    i cannot even remember the last time it ever snowed in october.
    even november doesn't happen that often. mid-december onwards is more the usual.
    i can't believe how the snow it sticking! and yes, wet and heavy....some of our privet shrubs are bent over b/c of the weight, i hope they don't break! that's our privacy from neighbors!
