I don't use apple products, but that sucks that he died. Even though I use an Android phone, I'm well aware that it was Apple that really pushed (accelerated) the development of smartphones.

While my PC is windows, I'm fully aware that it was "innovated" from an apple OS in the 80's.

The dude pushed technology, and even though you might not use it, that competition enhanced products from other companies.

He brought Apple almost back from the dead with his forsight about the future being portable devices.

    RIP steve.

I too don't own any of these "Istuff" but I admire him. It was really shocking to hear he had passed. It sucks he died so young. I feel he could have done so much more if he had more time! But who am I to say that...

Also, I think it is a great example of what should really matters in our lives: our health and our legacy ...NO MONEY in this world can buy you HEALTH or help you build a reputation ( and when I say reputation I mean as a good friend, mother/father, son/daughter, citizen, etc...)

    RIP Steve :(

  • I'm extremely saddened by this. I'm watching the coverage on CNN right now and one of the people just said "He is right up there with Thomas Edison." It's very odd to think about it like that, but it really is true.

    RIP Steve.

We lost a great innovator. RIP

This is a prepared text of the Commencement address delivered by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, on June 12, 2005

Very sad. Such an innovative man. And what every CEO should strive to be... decent.

Ironically, my 3 and half year old Macbook Pro died this weekend. won't power on. :(

    Apple truly innovated.

I just wish they weren't so aggressive with their patent law suits which is helping to stagnate growth for other companies. :(

But today it is just RIP Steve....

His creativity will be missed. Hopefully it will continue to inspire others to think outside the box. He has completely changed how a lot listen to music today, among other things.

A relatively short life, but one lived to the fullest. He was the most interesting thing about the tech industry and will be missed.

The world waved goodbye to another icon yesterday as well. Fred Shuttlesworth, the great civil rights-era leader, died. RIP to two great men.

He helps to define greatness and he's gone much too soon. RIP

I type this on my MacBookPro and I saw it on my little iPod. I wish I had an iPhone too.

    Thank you Steve.
