there are few people as good at self promotion as Palin. Amazing what she was able to turn one year as a governor and a failed whitehouse VP bid into...

jesus i would love to see her debate Paul. Would be priceless.

this pig has had this planned since 2008. Actually, she is too dumb. Her handlers have had this planned since 2008. Absolutely no doubt about it. Wait as long as possible, jump in, gain nearly insurmountable momentum, and have as little 'debate time' as possible and stay out of the line of fire.

She is scamming her way to the Republican nomination and may scam her way into the White House.

I cant believe people believe her 'indecision' and feed into it. She just happens to stay in the spotlight and comment publicly on every political issue there is. She 'just happened' to take a multi million dollar bus tour across middle america. She 'just happened' to screen some sort of propaganda film about herself in Iowa.

I read a British tabloid headline last month which said Palin's career was finished because she had been caught cavorting with a celebrity hockey player and snorting cocaine. I was quite pleased to read that! Is this not the case?

.

Kind of funny that Dems true colors are being shown. If someone called Obama a dumb n word, they'd be barred from this forum (as they should be), and everyone here would be all up in arms (as they should be). But, it's ok to call a woman a pig. And dumb.

Nicely done.

And for the record, I don't want Palin as the republican nominee. I just like to call out this sort of stuff.

Even funnier - regardless of politics, she's actually an attractive woman. So, you even lose your man card for this.

Perhaps that's because the n word is a racial epithet that is highly demeaning to a specific group which has suffered historic abuses, whereas pig can be used to describe (and demean) anyone. Nobody is getting banned for calling Obama dumb or naive. Racial slurs carry far more weight in modern society, and their use is obviously considered less than acceptable.

Out of interest, do you really think the reaction from moderators here would be any different if people used the n word to describe Herman Cain? As for Palin's appearance; not my cup of tea so I suppose you'll be taking my man card as well. Of course, "sexy" isn't something I'm looking for in a politician. I was looking for sexy politicians I would probably look for a list like this.

• I heart Sarah Palin... she provides so much comic relief! And she is a good filtering mechanism to sort out the idiots of the world.

and yes, she is stupid. That cannot be debated. It is as sure as the sun setting in the west.

Who said she was sexy? I said she was attractive. And by any measure, she is. But, that's besides the point. That was a joke tag.

I really don't see the difference. There are folks that call each other by the n word as a compliment. There's plenty of rap out there to confirm that fact. However, nobody goes around calling their friends pig.

I'm not being obtuse. I get that the other word is much worse than pig. But, I don't get why it's ok because pig can be used for everyone, but the other (in theory) can't. I seem to remember a well known artist by the name of Lennon using it for effect to describe women being opressed. So, I guess the word can be more broadly used.

And who said the reaction would be any different if it was for Herman Cain? Again - totally besides the point (or maybe, it accetuates the point - I wouldn't be ok if it was used for either).

i saw a poll on the cbs news today that says only 24% of likely republican voters want her to enter the race and 76% dont...

with poll numbers like that she would embarrass herself if she entered and had a poor showing in debates or in the early primaries. for her to enter the race now would be political suicide..

not to mention she would have to give up her position on fox news if she chose to run, and i can't see her doing that...

exactly. this isn't about running. this is about staying relevant through the election far enough to sell some sort of book...I truly believe she has very little interest in actually working in government again. She basically said as much in her incoherent interview with Greta Van Susteren.
I don't think any reasonable conservative or republican would even think of supporting this woman. I think I would rather vote for a new flavor of mountain dew.

I'm pretty sure she'll wait until 2016 to make a run at the presidency....they'll be a better chance to place more of the country's possible demise on a re-elected president. Also any or most or her afflictions at the moment MAY be forgotten by then but then again by that time she may bring more of those afflictions to the table. ;)

That's a pretty terrible plan if that's what she's doing. Chris Christie is the 2016 nominee if he doesn't run this time and Obama gets re-elected. If the Republicans win, there's no 2016 spot for Palin (or Christie). What you describe may be why Christie is not running this time.

I'm in agreement with the sentiment that she has no intention of running. It's far more lucrative not to and far less stressful.

do you see what she did?

she just made herself way more relevant becaue she has a ton of money in her PAC. she said she wants to help someone defeat obama, and any prospective gop candidate is going to have to kiss her ass to get a slice of that money pie...

she has made herself a behind-the-scenes player and she is going to influence this race without having to be the one out there on the campaign trail, so there is no personal risk to herself or her family... so potentially this is still "going to get good"..

it was the smart move on her part..
