I think the lack of tailgating has nothing to do with the fans. I expected to see a lot of tailgaters for the Bruce Springsteen show and the Kenny Chesney show, but other than a few here or there, there weren't many. I think a lot of it has to do with the parking situation. There aren't nearly enough parking spaces to accomodate the Colonial Center and it seems that people show up roughly at the same time and it's just a free for all to get a space. With that, it's hard for people coming from all different directions to plan on where to meet up.
The one thing that helped the Buffett concert goers is that I believe that show was on when USC wasn't in session, so you didn't have to wait for USC students to vacate the parking lots. Those lots won't be completely empty, but it may be easier to plan something if the meet up time is in the early afternoon (maybe around 2 pm).
Oh yeah, USC will be out by June 16th.

I just hope lots of people show up, we'll figure out somewhere to party!

Haha...thanks! I've gotten tired over the past few years of watching the USC basketball programs wither to nothing.
Yeah, if people show up early, it should be easier to tailgate. If they all show up as work lets out and rush hour hits, it will definitely be harder to plan something unless people want to go to the Vista.

Well, I for one am planning to arrive early!! Can't wait to see where my tickets are!

It's anyone's guess. In Atlanta '03, I was way the hell back and my number is 214xxx. However, they did block seating then based on when you showed up rather than completely based on seniority (i.e., if you had a similar number to mine but showed up hours earlier to pick up the tix, you would get a better seat).
My guess is now that fan club tix are no longer available for Columbia, and the fact that the seats most likely did not sell out, we should all have pretty decent seats. Here's to hoping at least. The closest I've sat is row 15 and that was at the '03 Hershey show which never went on sale through 10C.

With a fairly new member # I would expect on the wings, likely the 2nd or 3rd wing over - so middle of the arena. Whether you're 1st row on the wing or 26th row is all luck. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and get first row ; )
What are some of your thoughts about what is a good time to be at the arena and have enough time to get through parking & the 10 club line & all that without missing anything? Hopefully Ed will go on before the opening band, any guesses around what time that might be?

Ten club lines are usually very short. with the Post-2003 system there usually aren't long lines unless you are at the Gorge or NYC. I would give yourself 5-10 minutes to get through the 10c line at most.

Thanks, unfortunatly I havn't bought 10 Club tix since the 03' tour & it's good to hear the system has improved since then.
I'm driving up from S. Florida with a buddy, but now we are taking a 3 hour detour to pick up his brother so i am in need of 1 more ticket. if anyone has an extra low # 10c ticket so i dont have to shell out a weeks pay for a decent seat i would be greatful.

Far! If you're interested in the Outer Banks you need to go to Virginia Beach.
