You are gonna love it. Wish I could see them again.
We had a great time!  Since they closed the parking lot right across the street from the venue, we walked probably 3-4 blocks in the rain (no, we didn't melt) but we noticed when we got in that many improvements had been made.  Before when you entered, they barely even checked a ticket.  Ticket check, scan, purse check . . . They were changes that were needed.

The opening band was okay, but their "last song" was 4 songs long.  The person who opened for Bob Mould did the same thing.

The Breeders were great!  I did what I have never done before.  I waited through the first song to see if the rail gap would open any wider.  It didn't, so I tapped the guy on the shoulder to ask him if I could slide in.  He was so nice.  "Absolutely!"  I could see!

The sound was pretty whacked for the first three songs.  We lost Derby Dave to the center back where the sound was better.  Toni and I remained up front with hopes that the sound would get sorted.  At one point, Kim's mic went out, but they got it all fixed.

Love Last Splash and Cannonball.  I love Mountain Battles and only got one song, but I understand that it probably isn't an album that appeals to the masses.  The whole concert was great and I got to meet @wecrazybob !

Very cool.  The Breeders isn't a show I would see considering I only know 1 song, lol.  But sounds like it was a good time!
    What about the Pixies?

this is probably blasphemous to most.... but I like the Breeders Waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than the Pixies.
I love the Pixies but refuse to go see them without Kim

I get that but when they play, they seem super happy.  I can say the same for The Breeders. Perhaps it's just a better arrangement for all involved.

I've seen the Pixies twice (both without Kim - 2015 & 2017) and while the first time was good, they found their groove and had a way better time the second time.

As for The Breeders, I have seen them twice this year.  I saw them for The National Homecoming Festival (a festival set) and last might.  They had fun both nights, but the festival had far more personality.  Last night, while fantastic, was the last night of their US tour and they may have been a lil tired.

I'm just glad that they all seem to have found happiness and are happy to share that with all of us.

Because I love my daughter, for her 15th birthday I am taking her to:
1/30 Panic! At The Disco. Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland.

Neither my husband nor my regular ticket buddy would go to this one with us.  My husband said, "You are taking one for the team."  My ticket buddy said, "Ummmmm, NOPE!"  For what it is worth, she will be thrilled.  I told her that friends of ours are going and maybe I would have them pick up a t-shirt for her.  She has no idea, but in about a month she will . . .

I always think of Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson together for whatever reason. I have seen Elvis Costello a couple of times. I have a bunch of Joe Jackson's CD's and tapes. 1978/79 were my first concerts so I was in full swing in 1980. Amazing how my parents let me travel around back then.    I missed Joe Jackson for some reason. (At least I think I did )

Yeah, me too - nothing coming up at all. This has actually mostly been a shit year for concerts in Vancouver (the year before was great).

Both artists are of a similar ilk....they started-off as sort-of angry young punks, but have evolved into true gentlemen crooners in their later years!

Good description of them. Enjoy Joe Jackson!!

I see O.A.R. on December 8. Haven't been to a concert since PJ in 2016. Making a long weekend of it with my son and mom since they're playing in Atlantic City. Getting psyched.
