It would have been nice to see more people in the building…but Montreal is overmatched. The only chance they had is if Price continued to come up big…
Price has to outplay Vas by a wide margin for the Habs to win. The don’t have enough scoring to win without Price being dominant. This series has been his worst it appears.

Agreed. Yes it’s been his worst. But the coaches decision to go with primary 4 defensemen for the playoffs was terrible…
I can’t help but think helps much farther ahead Montreal would be with Sergechev as opposed to Drouin … that was just 1 example of many bad moves by Bergeron…
The lack of scoring is frustrating…
Until the owner realizes Bergeron is not the man to get the job done…it could be a uphill climb.
but we’ll see…they have 11 picks and 5 in the top 48 this year…plus they should be able to create cap room to add another d man and another top 6 forward…and the AHL is well stocked and rated 5th best.
So I will give Bergeron credit that he didn’t sell out the future for this run. But he needs to build around Suzuki, Caufield, KK and the rest of the core…time will tell.
This off season will be interesting for both Montreal and Tampa…
Let's go Tampa, hope they finish off the Tabs tonight!

I saw the mayor of Tampa wants them to lose g4 so they can win at home
Since 1980 Jagr has had a teammate or former teammate in the Stanley Cup Finals. I never fact checked, but if true, that’s an amazing feat…by one of the best.
I'm sure he feels terrible. Just a tragic accident... Every year around this time many people get hurt by fireworks...maybe at least an online training course needs to be completed before fireworks can be bought...that will still not stop friends from buying for friends...
Lebron opening the hockey game…. Barf 🤮 worst opening ever total Space Jam promo especially when he said “never quit on your team” which he just did when he rolled over in the playoffs
couldn’t have found a Lightning player from the 04 team
1996: Toronto 2003: St. Paul 2005: Thunder Bay 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa 2009: Chicago I, Chicago II 2010: Boston 2011: Toronto I, Toronto II, Winnipeg 2012: Missoula 2013: London, Pittsburgh, Buffalo 2014: St. Paul, Milwaukee 2016: Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto I, Toronto II 2022: Hamilton, Toronto 2023: St. Paul I, St. Paul II 2024: Vancouver I, Vancouver II

Sportsnet hockey coverage sucks as bad as nbc does. Lebron James is a fucking joke…and the nba sucks big time…
They could have used Mark Messier before the opener…he’s the greatest captain in the history of team sports…
my favourite James moment is when he had 2 teammates carry him off…the poor baby had cramps…

That's weird. My favorite moment is his chase down rejection in game 7 on Iggy. Won the series and brought home the first title for Cleveland since 1964.
And for the record, Lebron is the most complete and amazing athlete I've ever seen in my life. A 6'8" 270lb man that can run a 4.4 is unreal. He was an all state receiver as a sophomore in HS before he quit to play basketball. Had he played football, he would have been unstoppable.
And to say LBJ is a fucking joke is about the most uninformed, ignorant think a person could say about an athlete. But melt away.

How is Mess the greatest captain in team sports? I know he is only guy to captaon two NHL teams to Cups but that was one each and the Oil was loaded when he ran the team after Gretz left.
I'm no Yankee fan but off the top of my head, Derek Jeter > Mess. Bill Russell
Jack Lambert
Sure there are many others, and other examples for hockey.
The love he receives is the love that is saved

Agree that saying Lebron is a joke is a joke. One of the best players, ever, without question.

If you need to be carried off cramps you are are a typical nba player…
Yzerman was certainly up there…yzerman isn’t one of my favourite players…
of course the oilers were stacked…they won 5 cups in 6 years. Messier was only captain for 1 of those…but he was the defacto captain and IMO opinion the best in the business…it’s subjective…jeesh.
Are you whining about officiating in these playoffs when Tampa has the edge in PP opportunities…seems quite rich. Do watch the playoffs much. Since the day I’ve watched hockey there are 2 sets of rules … regular season and playoffs, also your still 20 million over the cap…nothing special about Tampa…and I believe you’ve scored 2 goals with to many men on the ice…once against us and once against the Islanders…

No I'm saying they are calling soft penalties on both sides tonight.
And I watch regular season and the playoffs religiously, unlike you only watches playoffs so not sure how you know there are two sets of rules.
Your whining about the salary cap is noted. Write a sternly worded letter to the Habs owner who voted to allow the playoffs exemption.
no denying Lebron is a phenomenal athlete, I just don’t care for him thought it was weird having a basketball player opening the hockey final, you would never see the opposite always admired Sakic, Yzerman and Toews as captains

You are right about Toews and Sakic. Both great captains. It looks like Toews will be back this season..
Nope, Tampa was by far the better team and may dominate for a few more years congratulations Lightning
Montreal had a great run but overachieved

RIP.
Fuck. I wish as society we’d eventually ban fireworks…but you know freedum…
