Pfft. I don't care what hockey tradition is,  sweaters and jerseys are for kids.  I think adults look like goofs in them.  Sorry for anyone I insulted.

Outside a few teams in the US, and I mean a few, most fans of most teams in the US are just very casual hockey fans…and that includes all Southern US teams…people in the south only wanna see ice in their drinks…hehehe.  Most so called hockey fans in Tampa or the southern US don’t know what an icing is or an offside is…lol.   The NHL will always be the 4th among the 4 major sports league…I mean baseball is sooooop exciting with all the cheating that goes on, and what can anyone say about the nba…what a league…tune in for the final five minutes to see who won…sooooo exciting.

Montreal eliminated both the Jets and Vegas by the same score at the same time of OT on beautiful goals…

What data or how long did you live in these southern cities to draw this conclusion? Do you poll the fans when you spend an entire season there using a statistically significant sample or is this just purely what's going on in your head?

Lol.  Your as insecure as your team?  Isn’t your team the one with the dress code in the past, and who knows maybe today…

you and I know polls are wildly inaccurate.   And why do I need a poll.  When your team sucks they can barely give tickets away…Toronto been sucking for 57 years and you have to give them cash and your right arm to get a ticket…

I'm not insecure,  but I scoff at sweeping conclusions pulled out of an ass. This goes for sports,  politics,  business and generally everything else

How does Armia test positive back in March get his double shot June 9th and still supposedly test positive a second time on June 27th?

I do agree with that, but I still think it’s a barometer. You should at least have a team t-shirt to wear to the game....not a pink polo shirt or a sport coat.

I like wearing team gear to the event.
Laugh at the idea that it should be for kids.  Just silly.  That is like the asshats that insist you can't wear a shirt from the band you are seeing to a concert.
Wear whatever you want - including a pink polo or a sports coat, Grandpa. .

You can do what you want,  I just think jerseys are for kids,  regardless of the sport.  But it's sure as hell not a barometer for "fandom".  Team gear is not the same as a jersey.

Never done that but it is part of fandom.  Not forgetting that fan is short for fanatic, of course.

You can do what you want,  I just think jerseys are for kids,  regardless of the sport.  But it's sure as hell not a barometer for "fandom".  Team gear is not the same as a jersey.

Opinion that I think is ridiculous but I'm sure we all have some of those.

Jerseys on adults is what's ridiculous.  Have I mentioned that?

For the record I own a 2004 Brad Richards signed game jersey.  He's the friend of a friend.  It's not been off the hangar.

Dont confuse F Me with URthekey. Or something like that.  She was the one that painted her face for MSG. Wear whatever you want who cares?  By the way, the Habs play for the cup starting tonight!

Laugh at the idea that it should be for kids.  Just silly.
It’s cool, F’me, but we need to talk about your face paint.

Never done that but it is part of fandom.  Not forgetting that fan is short for fanatic, of course.

Wear whatever you want - including a pink polo or a sports coat, Grandpa. .

You can do what you want,  I just think jerseys are for kids,  regardless of the sport.  But it's sure as hell not a barometer for "fandom".  Team gear is not the same as a jersey.

Opinion that I think is ridiculous but I'm sure we all have some of those.

Jerseys on adults is what's ridiculous.  Have I mentioned that?

For the record I own a 2004 Brad Richards signed game jersey.  He's the friend of a friend.  It's not been off the hangar
You've rented a hangar to store your signed Brad Richards jersey since 2004?

    Now THAT'S ridiculous!

I remember seeing that pic, that was wild!

Struck me as ironic to read that wearing jerseys is for kids & that adults are ridiculous to wear them, here, of all places.

I agree with you, though...I really do not care what someone wears to a game and certainly that what they wear does not mean they are a good or bad fan.  People should enjoy the games however it is most fun for them so long as they are not messing with someone else.  [Holding up a camera and recording an event for large blocks of time/watching a live event through your phone should earn you a Bad Fan tag, though.  You should be removed from the event if you hold the phone/camera in the sight-line of someone else.]

So crazy that Montreal is in this.  Go Canada, get a shot at hoisting that trophy again!

How does Armia test positive back in March get his double shot June 9th and still supposedly test positive a second time on June 27th?
He could have come in close contact with someone?  He has not been ruled out of game 1 or 2.  If he can’t go, Jake Evan’s is ready…next man up.

Joel Armia is on a private flight to Tampa.  He is out of Covid Protocol and a game time decision…

Tragic news from David Pasternak this morning... his 6 day old son died. How terrible.

Then there's the Blackhawks scandal... yikes.

I read that this morning.  RIP little one.

The a Chicago issue is disgusting…what’s the NHL doing?  Who was at the meeting when this reported?  I’m surprised that if Stan Bowman know about this that he’d turn a blind eye…but it looks like he may have.  I hope the victims bankrupt the Balackhawks…and I would not be opposed to the blackhawks having the franchise suspended until sold…no sports league can tolerate this.

This goes for sports,  politics,  business and generally everything else
just from what I've heard, people from here travelling there and going to a jets/tampa bay game, you can get a really good seat for $25 plus a beer and a hot dog. you can't get a seat in winnipeg for under $100, and that's with your back against the wall near the ceiling. and the arena was still half empty.

but that's, of course, anecdotal to a few people I know who regularly travel down there during the season.
