Great win for the blues. I thought they were done after losing in St. Louis. They played great tonight sports and goals and close it out in style...
What’s that again about home ice?

I watched the cup being hoisted and I could see a full stadium. People head for the exits all the time. Me? I’d stay. And for the record, the Bruins were totally outplayed and it was evident in the first 5 minutes. They sucked. Congrats to the blues as they played their game well. But?

Are you serious that there was only one penalty in a game 7 and it’s a puck in the stands? Seriously? That’s bullshit. You either call 1 every game all series or you call it tight every game all series. Or, pre-game, the refs tell the locker room, play on. It’s the same in the NFL, NBA and NHL. MLB is tougher but it becomes the strike zone. Spread the wealth, avoid the dynasty, TB12 is going to be driven.

Bruins completely outplayed them the entire first period,  irrespective of the goals.  I thought the Blues forgot to sharpen the blades or something.  They were slow and indecisive in their own zone.  Good night for Jordan to play the game of his life.

FWIW, I'm watching the game now on delay.  Started late.  It's 2:28 to go and there are plenty of empty seats in the lower bowl.  Announcer in the States just commented "many of the seats empty".

It did not look good for St. Louis early, once they got up and Boston could nor score, it looked bleak for Boston.  That seemed to be St. Louis game, score first, get good goaltending and play tight D.

Most NHL game 7, finals or not...the refs generally put whistle, same with the OT...and I can guarantee, as long as it is not a blatant penalty, the players have no problem with refs letting the players decide the game...and I thought the refs were excellent tonight.

Wow! Pretty awesome. Can’t claim to be much of a fan but the Blues are my team. I’m totally proud of them for shattering the record for uncensored f bombs.

Didn’t look great early but Binnington was ice cold all night. Thought he should’ve won MVP.

    Fuck Boston.

Feels good, right? 2001, followed by heartbreak 2003, followed by 2004, followed by 2011. The in between was all icing because you begin to believe you’ll never see it in your lifetime. Enjoy it.

They interviewed on CBC.  I think it was Colton Pyrako who was visiting her in the hospital...if I,m not mistaken, not sure if I spelled the player's name right...

Most NHL game 7, finals or not...the refs generally put whistle, same with the OT...and I can guarantee, as long as it is not a blatant penalty, the players have no problem with refs letting the players decide the game...and I thought the refs were excellent tonight.
Just like home game 7 is a lock?

Broken jaws and stitches and concussions, but the Bs went 7,against a dirty team, with pride. Not one penalty after the lifted puck? In a game 7?

Even though I was only able to see the 1st period the BLUES throughingly defeated the BRUINS.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BLUES and their fans. The Blues earned and deserved this win, waiting some 50 years to get the Cup.

I'm especially happy for that Blues fan whose ILL, I think her name is Laila. She must feel like shes on top of this world. Now if she can just rid herself from her illness all will be swell in St Louis. I hope their fans party like its 2099 cause this win was a long time in coming to the city .

    Peace

Yes you are right they're spoiled from the teams in Boston compete and win. Certainly NOT excusing this behavior. If I was there I would stay and cheer on the Bruins for competing till the very last game of the season. A bunch of other teams wished they were in that position to battle for the Cup.

Btw, being a goalie a long time ago, that was some superb goaltending from what's his name Biddington in the first period?

    Peace

Physical? Yes. Dirty? No. The Blues aren’t dirty. You’ve got to be wearing some serious partisan lenses to have a problem with what the Blues did but okay with what the B’s did in this series and leading up to it.

Congrats to the Blues fans. A fun series to watch.  It’s been a long road for Binnington, we watched him play locally for a number of years in the OHL, winning a championship in 2011.  While others on that team like Andrew Shaw made the NHL quickly, Binnington put in a lot of work with AHL teams, so nice to see him get his chance.

WTF? Seems like a full stadium to me while the cup is hoisted. Get glasses or throw your hatred down.
After the 4th goal lots were going for exits. Watch the replay. I love seeing the Cup and the players passing it around. Don’t get missing it
I watched the cup being hoisted and I could see a full stadium.

And your point is?  Boston had the momentum coming back.  Played a good 1st and got behind by 1 and gave up a goal with 8 seconds left in period 1, that's a no-no and bigger no in a winner take all game (was that the goal Marchand may an untimely exit to the bench?)...once that 2nd one went in St. Louis had them...they get the lead, great goaltending, great defence...and it's laughable that you call them dirty...LMFA0
