We're 2 titles away from the Tiger slam.
I can see the Bruins winning it all.  The Celtics not likely...

Carolina deserved it.  Good.  Hate the caps
They were the better team.  I hate the delay of the game rule when shooting the puck over the glass, but they clearly missed the Capitals shooting the puck over the glass in the 1st OT.

Hope St. Louis wins the whole thing...to go from last at Christmas to Champions would be cool...
Glad the caps are done I hate ovechkin now we play the Hurricanes starting tomorrow, love hockey the best fuck the rest !
You will be getting a tired Carolina team for sure.  Should go up 1-0.
Yeah I’m not counting on anything as a given Carolina is playing solid hockey!

Tough loss Jose,  the islanders will be fine.  Sometimes you have tip your hat to the opposing goalie...but both goalies were great.

Yeah no doubt that’s what it’s all about in the playoffs get a hot goalie it can take you all the way .

100%. And both teams looked good tonight.

San Jose looked dead halfway through the second,  then Joe T just put them on his back.  The old man can still play,  and he's a mean fucker.

Jumbo Joe is great.  I would not be upset if San Jose won the cup.  When I think of a goalie carrying his team to a cup Roy always comes to mind...’86 and ‘93, and 93 may be the greatest goaltending performance in the playoffs.

Brodeur had a few good runs in there as well.  San Jose is hot, but can they keep it up?  They were not particularly good on defense during the season, and certainly not at the beginning of the playoffs.  It will be interesting.  The Blues hot streak is really amazing though.  It's been going on for months.
  • San Jose is crap.  The city, the team, their overrated play-no-actual-defense defensemen....every thing.

Ok, I am biased and San Jose is fine as a city.  ;)

I haven't followed SJ much this year.  Not sure why the D struggled...they got 2 Norris trophy winners on the blueline and if it was for a few dandy defensive gems by Burns in the game 7 OT against Vegas then I doubt SJ even advances.  I'm pulling for the Blues.  The Blues changed coaches and their rookie goalie has been fantastic...but I will give the coach a good amount of credit...coaching matters.

Either the Blues or SJ would be great champions...but SJ traditionally chokes in the playoffs...good teams in the past and only 1 cup final appearance.

And yes Brodeur had some great playoff runs...

'93 will never be topped by any goalie.  Roy was in a zone that I think very few athletes get into and he was in the zone for a couple of months.  10 straight OT victories of your 16 wins are one record that is likely safe...of course, I thought Gretzky's regular season goal record would never be broken...Ovi will be challenging it unless he retires early or he suffers from a serious injury...he is 33/34 so it doable.

The Bruins aren't going to win squat if they continue to turnover the puck and penalties in the offensive zone. They deserved to lose that last OT game. Time to snap out of the funk.
