Welp. The Wings are hanging in there. Gonna be close AGAIN. Lol. Appears there won't be any Canadian teams going this year.
Oh please let it rain today.

Catching Boston might be their only hope.

Only intrigue left this season for me is....who gets the calder?
  • Ha.
Strange that no Canadian teams representing this year. We are used to them not winning now but there should at least be a few teams in.

Looks like Nashville is almost locked into that first wildcard spot so if LA wins the division it will be Nashville at LA. Looks like it's Nashville at Anaheim if Ducks win that division.

Hopefully the games in Nashville don't conflict with Lexington show. I haven't missed a Nashville playoff game before but I would for PJ in Lexington.

Just read there was an accident with an elevator at Philly. Heads up if you're headed to Wells Fargo for PJ. Yikes, scary!

Stamkos out 1-3 months with a blood clot. Stralman still out on the blue line. Another run looks dicey for the defending conference champs.

Nashville wrapped up the first wildcard last night so they will almost certainly play the winner of the Pacific Division.

I got charged for the first batch of playoff games yesterday. I love NHL playoffs. Its the most exciting of pro sports by far.
  • Here we go, buckle up! Bummed the Kings didnt win Saturday and the Caps laid down Sunday by resting most of their stars against the Duckies. Kings get San Jose instead of Nashtucky. Think the travel is easier but Nashville would have been a 5-6 game win. San Jose? Think if history tells us anything it will go 6-7 and be an absolute dogfight. Hope we can kick those suckers to the curb.

Many good matchups in round 1 -- Chicago - St Louis is gonna be wild.

I'm still unclear how the playoff seeding works, but the Red Wings made it!
  • FoxyRedLaFoxyRedLa Posts: 4,810
There were 2 spots open in the Eastern conference. Wings Bruins Flyers. Wings and Bruins were 93 points. Flyers 92. Both Wings and Bruins lost on Sat. WINGS have more regulation wins!!!!

    :smiley::smiley::smiley:

Lmao! Squeezed in again! 1st round against the lightening again. Can't wait!

Hawks haven't looked great lately, but still not afraid of the Blues. I assume they will be doing their annual playoff choke. But should definitely be a good series.

RIP Flyers chairmen Ed Snider. the man responsible for the franchise and also the Spectrum and now Wells Fargo Center.

That's a good draw. The Lightning are really beat up. Tyler Johnson went down this weekend and may not be ready for the start. Throw in no Stamkos and Stralman. The Bolts are limping down the stretch...

This will be the Magic Man's last playoff run with Detroit. He's going back to mother Russia.

Yeah I'm a little envious I think the wings actually have the easiest matchup. It's basically totally a product of lucky circumstances but it still sucks. Rangers play probably the best team in the East I think

    Chicago/St Louis is pretty brutal.

I think Nashville has a decent shot vs Anaheim but I'm not happy about the start times. 930 face off on a Sunday is too late and our first home game is 830 on a Tuesday.

That's why I'm so happy that Detroit switched to the eastern conference. Playoff games starting at 10:30 are complete B.S.
