Let me clarify. There's no chance MOISES ALOU OF THE CHICAGO CUBS catches that ball. Moises Alou of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins or possibly even Houston Astros? Maybe.

I'll watch the doc at some point, but I firmly believe this to be true. Maybe he gets a glove on it, but he doesn't come down with it in his possession.

after you watch the doc, you gotta come back here and tell us what you think... i promise, i had the same feeling about it as you do before 8pm last night...

Seems to be going in there perfectly..perfect angle, glove is open with the perfect spacing...pefectly timed jump..but i know what your sayin. ESPN did a great job, different angles, deleting the people around him..etc.

the worst part of the whole thing... other than the final score... bartman's friends bailing on him!

Yea on the other end it was nice to see the baseball team he coached support him the next morning.

The securit guard lady who escorted them out said they bailed when they were brought back to the room were they held him for a while and went back to the hotel.

the doc made it pretty clear that they bailed... they were supposed to wait, wouldn't answer his phone calls after, etc .

you could definitely be correct, though... it was a madhouse.

Ok, I will be a man and try to catch it. I do play D level co ed softball for heaven's sake. I would have caught it than quickly put it in Alou's glove and then he would have waved it around, I GOT IT!!! I GOT IT!!! That's how it was going to go.

I am off to a moster truck ralley followed by buying some tools at the hardware store. Manly things you know.

Thought you would enjoy me not pulling out the man card. I probably would have dropped it, but would have tried to catch it. Bare handed of course - NO GLOVE!!!

I think most Chicagoans have stories about seeing a drunken Kyle Farnsworth out somewhere acting like an asshole. I remember seeing him at Tais til 4 on Ashland on several occasions.

So I mentioned the movie to her tonight (it's on tomorrow night -- the DVR is set). I said nothing about this thread.

Her response? She can't possibly watch it because he's such a nice a guy and she feels so bad about chanting "asshole" that night.

finally got around to watching this last night. VERY VERY well done. when i first moved out here, one of the first things i did with my friends was visit wrigley. we got a picture of all of us standing outside of gate F. NOW we know that was the gate bartman was snuck out of dressed as a wrigley security guard :) . very detailed documentary and very informative, good stuff.

my question though... how did ESPN get in touch with all of the fans all these years later for interviews? how were they able to get names and phone numbers and what not? especially that jackass that came down from another section and sought out bartman to chuck a beer on him. what a douche. years later he was still laughing about it. how can a grown adult not be embarrassed at their pathetic behavior like that?

also loved the footage in the very beginning of costas in the red sox locker room anticipating the celebratory interviews. watching the game on the mini TV then breaking all that crap down in the flash of an eye when the mets tied it.
