How can you not have the Bears in the top 5? They ARE the NFL.
Exactly! We need teams that we consistently beat.

you are a funny guy...
but seriously...without the Bears does the NFL even exist? Charter member, they still wear GSH on the jersey to honor the founding father of football. Without GSH and the Bears we might be a soccer loving nation.
i respectively decline to accept your stance of not having the bears in the top 5 even tho they have the most wins all time as well as the highest winning % all time as well as the second most championships all time.

As much as I hate the Bears, I have to agree that they'd be 2nd on my list (after the Packers of course). They don't call it the Halas trophy for nothing!
Then I'd go Steelers, Cowboys (boo!), and maybe the 'Skins.

I'm as big a Packer fan as there is and I look for any chance I can get to trash talk the Bears, but you can't deny that they are one of the most storied, successful franchises in all of sports. I respect the hell out of their history, significance and accomplishments in the game of football and as 81 said, without them there IS no current NFL. Definitely up there with (behind ) the Packers. That's what makes the rivalry so great.

i can respect that...
i can put the packers at number 1 based on their championships...but the Bears are right there with them with their wins/win% and HOF membership levels.
but sadly, championships trump all that when everything else is so close.
The Cowboys did not exist until 1960....the Browns joined the NFL in the 1950's....The Raiders, Patriots and Broncos were AFL teams that did not compete for NFL championships until 1966 (Super Bowl I)...the AFL was founded in 1960...I think the Dolphins were a late addition to the AFL...1968 or some such...adding fuel to the argument's fire

I do like how you divided them up because you cannot compare titles to superbowls and eras to eras....totally different intensity and skill levels! Also, more variables and decision making nowadays! With that being said....how can you not put in the Steelers post era? Thats crazy!
Sorry you are the only one who didnt out of 50 people....i cannot see how!

You HAVE to have the Steelers in the post Era. They might even be number 1 in that post merger. i would go steelers, cowboys, 49ers, giants...unless i am missing somebody
Hard to believe the bears only have 1 superbowl victory if they dominated the pre superbowl era.
no it's not. and it's not like i have room to talk but the bears have been pretty fucking mediocre at best for the last 25 years.
mediocre...
after about 86 they pretty much stunk until that 06 team. even when they made the playoffs the were never considered contenders. even last year they were an after thought.

i don't buy into any list that doesn't include the bears. they have to be on it, no questions.
i have as a boarderline 5th team.
that 5th spot for me is difficult.
1 SB? Really?

you do realize, they played football before 1966. we are talking all time...not just the last 46 years

Yeah, if the Bears were to win a 2nd sb, combined with all their past success, I would put them in my list over the Niners..
Yes, I do.

Bears have 30 listed...and i believe i counted 27 bolds (primary career was that team). i dare you to find a team with more.
You should be in sales
Edit: or maybe I'm a pushover
anybody that takes 5 seconds to look at the history of the NFL can clearly see they belong...no sales needed.
now would you like to buy some socks
Are they fleece? Limited quantity? Can I trade them imediately afterwards for a Benny Hall?
Then I'd go Steelers, Cowboys (boo!), and maybe the 'Skins.
