I have to get used to the pouch in the front/center that zippers up & down,..

i used it for a picnic. i got 100 grilled cheese sandwiches inside of it. it also folds out into a blanket. came quite in handy yesterday. one of the best purchases of my life.

I just saw the same model Pantagonia backpack in another color at a store and now I am kicking myself for not ordering one . The whistle is part of the buckle on the chest strap. I didn't even know it was there until someone posted about it on here.
I'm with you on the camelback thing though, not sure how that works. It looks like there is an opening on the back at the top where a tube could fit through.

I had to look hard for the whistle too, but finally found it. That's handy - I guess the idea is if you went into the wilderness and were lost, you'd could at least make a little noise so people would find you....
