When the day comes they are inducted, who do you think/hope will induct them? What band/artist would you prefer covering or sitting in with them for a song? There are very few younger, modern bands or artists that naturally comes to mind. My bet would be Cameron Crowe to induct and Chris Cornell as guest artist....

Is it normally a younger band that inducts? I would love for it to be Neil Young or Pete Townshend or one of their heroes.

I would guess a peer before any modern band member....Neil Young, Cornell, Cantrell, Daltrey, Townshend

Could be awhile b/c the RnR HoF has alot of catchin up to do.

Rush, Maiden and Ozzy should probably be in before they think about inducting PJ.

It would be cool if they turned it down as it really is a joke now; Madonna really? While she was obviously talented at what she did, just wasn't rock & roll. And I would be fine with it but Abba over Rush?

15-18 years ago you're probably right. I think they'd jump at the honor, nowadays.

I dont pay attention to this stuff...are you telling me none of these bands are currently in the R&R HOF?! Are you serious? That's pathetically sad. Sorry to go off topic here but this makes me cringe if true

There's no way they'll turn it down. Eddie is there every other year inducting somebody as it is, so they obviously care.

Which is a shame, because it was pretty fucking awesome when the Sex Pistols turned it down...

"Next to the SEX-PISTOLS rock and roll and that hall of fame is a piss stain. Your museum. Urine in wine. Were not coming. Were not your monkeys and so what? Fame at $25,000 if we paid for a table or $15000 to squeak up in the gallery, goes to a non profit organisation selling us a load of old famous. Congradulations. If you voted for us, hope you noted your reasons. Your anonymous as judges but your still music industry people. Were not coming. Your not paying attention. Outside this shit-stem is a real SEX PISTOL."

The RRHOF is seriously a big fucking joke. It's music, not fucking sports.
  • Rush has obviously pissed off the R&RHoF because when you look at there body of work, it is a crime. After everything that happened to Neil Peart, for them to still be a band is pretty amazing and goes to show they care about their music and fans to continue. I think they are a lot like PJ in that respect and in the fact that I don't think either band cares one way or another. If you watch "Beyond the Lighted Stage" you can see, like PJ, it is all about the music and the journey. The RRHoF is good for some photos, but Madonna, Abba, and such is commercialism, not rock and roll.

  • They really do deserve to be inducted for sure!.. But I kind of doubt the Hall of Fame will fit into to Stone's basement... Haha! :D

Bingo. Hell, I don't even like Rush (I downright loathe them), but they're obviously a band of great cultural significance, and for them to be omitted simply because a handful of elitist writers dislike them highlights what a joke the RRHOF is. Seriously, read about the selection process. It's pathetic.

Julian Casablancas or Josh Homme are might be good possibilities to induct them IMO.

Someone mentioned Chris Cornell. Maybe Soundgarden will be inducted in a couple years too. They started a little before Pearl Jam.
