Lost & Found...Would you believe our luck?

So, Mr. Thumber and I made the epic trip to Edmonton and Vancouver and got both night's posters, AND won a bitchin' poster at the Vancouver WISHLIST pre-party fundraiser. We get to the Vancouver airport this afternoon and all of a sudden, after getting to the front of the hour plus long US customs line (past security screening), we realize in an utter panic that our poster tube went MIA.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

We are almost positive we left it at the WEST JET check-in where we filled out the immigration card.

We've called WestJet lost & found (nothing), we've begged to get back out of customs and search the terminal, we've pleaded with WestJet to page the airport.

Still no sign. And we are now home, back in Cali, mourning our loss (and our utter stupidity).

So, if by some random chance at about 1:30pm Vancouver time you (or someone you know) happened to see (or pick up) a tube filled with the Edmonton and Vancouver poster and another 2007 World tour poster...it's ours, and we would sincerley appreciate a Good Samaritan contacting us or spreading the good word about our misfortune. Thanks for reading and passing along.

maybe put an ad in the lost and found section of the local newspapers up there? most times lost items are posted for free

I'll bet this was treated as a security issue. With the way things are nowadays I'll bet an unattended poster tube was deemed suspicious and airporty security took it. If there is anyway of getting ahold of Vancouver airport security you may have some luck. Shitty news though. Sorry to hear it.

I left my PJ20 book w/ my passport in it and a bunch of other papers at the Vancouver airport. I was the last person on the plane and left it at the desk where the lady was scanning my boarding pass. Anyway called today and they found it. The book anyway, it was locked in a safe and am supposed to find out tomorrow if passport was tucked inside. I called 1-866-817-5243 and a friendly person had it tracked down in 5 minutes. The number is for Vancouver airport lost and found.

My story. Almost identical to yours. Set poster tube with my Edmonton poster and my girl's in it down to fill out that damned customs form and within 5 or 10 minutes, it was gone. I went to every information booth and was told that they hadn't seen it. Last one- and they had what I thought was my tube, but I was halfway to the plane before I realized there was no name or address on it like mine.

After checking the contents, I remembered reading this post last night and here I am...

The only thing I would ask is that I am going to create a new post and if you could help me keep it toward the top for a few days so I can at least try to recover mine, I would appreciate it greatly!

This is the most amazing thing I have seen in a long time you rock!!!! You need help finding replacements for yours maybe I can help, or we can pool money together from members... The fact that you are honest and willing to let someone else get their posters back while yours are missing speaks a ton for you kind hearted nature.
