Have you ever wondered...........

If the guys from PJ ever come on this message board to read or post anonamously? I mean, it would sort of give em an idea as to how the fans feel about certain events, feedback from live shows etc.. I know if I were in a band as big as Pearl Jam I would be curious to see what the fans were thinking or had to say. The reason I bring this up is cause about 6 months ago I remember reading a thread about how the Hartford 08 show was gonna suck and PJ never plays a great setlist in Hartford. As we all know Hartford was probably the best show and best setlist of the tour if not ever.Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Thoughts?

    I read an interview with Eddie a while back...He said he used to come on here every now and then. I guess one time there was a debate about the lyrics to State of Love and Trust and he sent a private message to somebody to correct them. The guy assured Eddie HIS lyrics were correct haha.

    Ed has told a story about posting on here and having someone engage him in an argument over the lyrics of SOLAT...think he said he realized it was pointless. Someone here used that to try and pinpoint his handle on the board. I am sure someone will dig up the thread.

    EDIT: Looks like SomethingCreative beat me to it.

    I think they might come around every once and a while. Probably not that much though.

    They definately look here every now and then. I mean I don't see why not. I think the Hartford show was sort of proof

    Mike posted as himself back in 2000. when it was the old sony bbs. He posted on the Pj board as well as the Rockfords board. I got a couple PM's from him.

    Another example is before the Grand Rapids show in 2006, someone was posting on here that they would love the band to cover The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Ed then at the show said "this song is called The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and the band started Daughter and Ed said "Don't hate me". So that was really funny.

    I remember when Mike came by the synergy board. "Mike r Mccready"

    He got in on some "I would cut my hands off to play like Mike" action. Fortunately, Mike intervened and no limbs or extremities were lost.

    What made Hartford setlist the best ever? There were like 3 songs that really stand out from the rest of the tour, and the first time big wave was played on the east coast. It was a good show but wasnt the best ever

    Actually, all he said in his response to Ed was "Nope."

    Pretty sure it was bostonlou, but I'm not 100%.

    There was a thread similar to this a while back about Leash. Before they broke Leash out during the '06 tour, a random poster came out with a thread that asked, if the guys break out leash, do you think they should change the lyrics to "delight in the truth" instead of "our youth". The poster also asked what people thought of "get out of my lucky face" as opposed to "fucking face". And then sure enough, the Leash was dropped with a few random changes to lyrics. I remember afterward there was a suspicion that Ed was indeed lurking.

    P.S. I too think it was Bostonlou who got into the SOLAT discussion with Ed.
