    I used to use Metro Transit (bus and lite rail) regularly prior to the pandemic it get to work. It was decent. Since then I’ve only used it sporadically, mainly to attend Twins games. Like most public transit across the country, its got its problems (drug use/moving homeless shelter). It should be fine on event nights, at least that’s my experience. Will depend on where you’re coming from and going to.

    Do note the MN State Fair will be going on during these shows. For those who don’t know, it’s a massive event especially the final weekend. Crowds well over 250K a day attend. A lot of public transportation and ride share resources will be diverted to get people to and from the fair. Expect longer wait times and less service.

    Broke the news to my wife last night that I put in for both shows. Expecting an eye roll at best or a freak out at worst…she started looking into flights for me. 😳

    You're better off staying in a rental car on 7th Street. You can get a similar experience staying at a local shelter for free.

    you could also stay in the suburbs and get a really nice clean hotel and just commute to the shows

    From my experience, rideshare is pretty cheap in MSP. I live in Atlantic City and probably travel to MSP about 10 times a year. My sister and her family live in Eden Prairie. It's pretty rare that I pay more than $40 for an Uber or Lyft between the airport and EP. That said, I'll be in MSP that weekend watching the kids. Looking forward to taking my 11 year old nephew to his first concert.

    Uber can be $40 one way,  & 130 the other way when a venue let's out and there is higher demand.
    Last summer I took my daughter to a concert in Chicago.   Stayed at a motel 6 west of town.  The venue we were going to had very limited parking.   So the uber to the show was $38.00. On the ride back to motel, took an hour to hook up with uber & $130.00
