Saw Springsteen on Sunday at the X.... he's playing Wrigley in August. I've only seen PJ there but thinkin it mayyyyy be fun to add Bruce to that list.. Wrigley and Maybe Winnipeg in November. This is what happens when there's no PJ tour! lol
i was at springsteen, too. despite the prices i figured i should as it seems like we're getting close to the end of those opportunities presenting themselves. his last song seemed to hint as much. i've never been a big bruce fan, but his 04 vfc show at the x with r.e.m., bright eyes, neil young, and john fogerty i still rank as the best concert i've ever been to (and i've been to a lot).
Apparently there are rumors of a show around here in September?

Outdoors in September in Minnesota would be limited to dates where there are gaps in Twins schedule, gaps in Gopher football schedule, or...I'm not sure where else they would play outdoors here (or why they would play somewhere that besides those two, given that they already host shows)?
In any event, you could probably isolate possible dates by looking at those. I would also think the Gopher football possibility would be limited to when they have a two or three week break? Home on 9/9, not back home until 9/30, so maybe somewhere in there?

Someone randomly asked me about outdoor venues in Minneapolis. I shared with him as much as you all did. Then, when i asked why he sent me the link to the monster 2023 tour thread.
Just to sum that up....the rumors is basically a mix of indoor/outdoor venues with Minneapolis, Chicago and Indianapolis name checked.
I dont really buy any of it being this same poster in the same thread had Eddie playing Minneapolis solo April 8.
Outdoor locally in September is such a coin flip. I doubt they would do Target Field. As much as everyone seems to want that. they dont seem to be making baseball fields their standard. The Gopher Bank would be fun. But does it have the amenities? The Viking Bank would be great but I think they would need a couple other bands with them. I think that would be really cool, but they dont seem to want to do that either. Any other space other than the X seems like a long shot. So who knows.
Agreed. August outdoors? Sure. September? Unless it’s really early September, very dicey as far as rain and temp.
I think Target Field is the only outdoor field they would do. Huntingdon Bank is limited by schedule of gophers, and while they’ve had 5 outdoor shows (Stones, U2, Beyoncé - I think?, couple others maybe), it’s not really a standard venue. Target Field routinely does shows each summer, they’ve done more baseball stadiums than any other outdoor venue in years past, and there is the twins connection. Yes he likes baseball and the twins, but the pohlad brothers (or one of them) was a producer on Into The Wild. Enough little things to make a connection between EV/PJ and the twins that sort of make TF the only real outdoor option in September in MN. I could see them doing a few shows this fall but there’s usually some kind of smoke 6 months out. Hasn’t really seemed like there’s a sense of anything happening or impending…

But its fun to think about.
I would love to see shows scheduled at Allianz, but I don't think they've hosted a concert before. The Loons have soccer games scheduled into October, can't imagine they'd want anyone trampling their field mid-season. Parking at the venue is not great, they're trying to lean into their proximity to the light rail (which I appreciate, but doesn't lend itself to hosting out-of-towners who are unfamiliar with the local public transit).
I kind of assumed the tour would be mix of arenas/sheds and the Twin Cities show would be an arena. Going back to 2013 or so, PJ also likes renting out the building for the first show to rehearse for five days or so. The X’s calendar is wide open after mid August. Tour could start in St Paul, then go to Chicago and Noblesville.

I may have been asked to run a certain pre-party again...and the dates may just be 8/31 and 9/1. Location unknown but I'd guess Target Center or X since the Twins are at home on those dates and it's also (thankfully) not the state fair.

But its fun to think about.

Going back to 2013 or so, PJ also likes renting out the building for the first show to rehearse for five days or so. The X’s calendar is wide open after mid August. Tour could start in St Paul, then go to Chicago and Noblesville.
