    Dave St. Peter, from the Minnesota Twins, confirmed to Judd Zulgad (AM 1500) that a ROCK act would announced within weeks as the headliner of a concert at Target Field this summer.  He said Judd would be in favor of the band.  I have no idea on Zulgad's musical tastes.  But, here's hoping!
    Just say no to stadium shows!

    Hello all,

    My wife and I have some great friends and neighbors, Kristen and Hunter, who have three great kids.  Hunter and Kristen are Pearl Jam fans (word is, Kristen even got some wine from Ed at the 2003 Fargo show!).

    This past November, the family got some devastating news that Hunter has glioblastoma (e.g. "brain cancer").  This is an aggressive form of cancer, and so Hunter immediately went into surgery and is receiving treatment.  Hunter is one of the most friendly, patient and good-humored people I know, and Kristen is every bit his equal in that department.  It's a bit cliche to say, but truly, this couldn't happen to a nicer, funnier, better family. 

    As you might imagine, the costs associated with treatment are staggering (to say the least), and so a great group of friends and family is organizing a charitable benefit for them this weekend in St. Paul.  There will be lots of fun donation opportunities there, including a silent auction with lots of good stuff, like Pearl Jam items, vinyl records (yes, Pearl Jam), sports collectibles, concert tickets, and other great stuff.  The event is being held at Bad Weather Brewing in St. Paul, on Saturday, February 16 from 5pm-9pm.
