were people sat behind stage in 2003? i don't recall.

I don't think so. See you in Moline btw... :)
great! you doing just that show?

if anyone reading this has them available, i'll be looking for preferably 1 ga ticket, otherwise a pair of reserved tix not behind/side stage, for st. paul.
    Nope...Lincoln, Moline, and St Paul!
No longer overwhelmed it seems so simple now.

Sounds like everyone is finding themselves tickets.

What is everyone's 2014 tour itinerary looking like?

Only getting to two US shows (given the dates/locations). Sort of an odd configuration/order of shows. Anyway, ours is:

    July 8 - Leeds
    July 11 - Milton Keynes
    October 9 - Lincoln
    October 19 - St. Paul

    What's yours?

MN people, where would be the best place to stay if you had two nights there? Any preference btwn st. paul an minneapolis? I get the impression st. paul is more historic buildings vs. minne skyscrapers…is that fair?…any advice? (excuse my Canadian ignorance)

I'm sure the St Paulians will contest -

Minneapolis is the place to be, only a 15-20 drive to St Paul. Downtown St Paul near the Xcel gets a little sleepy nights and weekends. If you want to stay where the nightlife is, head to Minne.

1- St. Paul W. 7th (where the Xcel is) is where to be if you plan to pre-game and even post-game. It'll be full of PJ fans!
2- holiday inn is literally kitty corner from the Xcel and it's affordable
3- the light rail will be open and you can take it to the airport!
4- St. Paul is better than Minneapolis (boom, just got jammed) <:-P

I think Minneapolis will have more to do, but I would stay in St. Paul. Being close to the show will be the most convenient. Stay downtown. You can always cab it to Minneapolis.

Thanks! After hearing from CM last night I started looking at Minneapolis. Was glad to hear that it was lively as previously I had been looking at St. Paul and was getting a bit unstoked on the hotel prices (most good options seemed to be $150+ per night).

…Anyways, I was able to snag the Westin in Minneapolis using their name your price option for only $76/night! From the recent comments about St. Paul, it sounds like it will be a good base as we can explore around St. Paul the day of the show, and use the conveniences of Minneapolis to rest up on the day before the show after driving up from Moline.

Congrats again everyone for getting your long sought after show, I can't wait!

In all fairness (like most cities), it really depends what you are into doing. The twin cities is basically broken up into neighborhoods. So whatever your vibe, we got it

Agreed. That's one of my favorite things about the Twin Cities. Lots of good neighborhood hangouts in both cities.

Minneapolis has uptown, northeast, U of M/Cedar, the lakes areas, south. St. Paul has Como Park, Highland, Grand, West 7th area.

5 major professional sports teams (Twins, Wild, Wolves, Vikings, Lynx). U of M. Tons of theaters. Parks. Record stores (Hymies, Agharta, Fetus etc). Shopping (Mall of America, uptown, downtown, Grand Avenue). Comedy clubs (Acme, in particular). Lots of great local bars.

I don't know. Maybe it's not as fast paced as NYC, Chicago or LA, but we've got a great urban life here. Lots of things to do. Maybe I'm boring, but food, music/comedy and sports are all here in abundance and it makes life pretty awesome.

Zero shows this year...but I travel for work, and if I can manipulate my schedule I'll try and get to St. Paul. My first show was Minneapolis in 1998, but I haven't seen the band in the Twin Cities since.
