Guilty as charged. Between work and a seven hour drive plus a slightly bum knee, I was positively wrecked by the first encore. Sorry dude...I know you beard gives you great strength, but I have no shame in saying that yesterday wiped me out. Now...bring on in-law weekend!

  • Post Lincoln recovery day bump.

Amazing show made better by the trip with the gang.

Now, Netflix, pizza and couch. See you soon, Memphis!

Did not make it to Lincoln due to work obligations (first year teacher). But I will be in Moline next Friday and St. Paul on Sunday. Should be a great time.

Good show, great friends, great road trip. Awesome to see Ryan and Sarah unexpectedly (and two rows ahead of us no less), great to meet Derby Dave in the will call line. Nice little area surrounding the arena, great cheap beers and terrible food service.

The maxim is tried and true: if you're doing it right, the highlight is never the show. Adam, Derek, Kate, Pat, Hannah, Ryan, awesome time.

It was nice meeting you guys too... had a GREAT time hanging out with the folks in the merch & ticket pick-up lines!!
Besides PJ20 & Wrigley, I can't remember a having a more enjoyable time at the Pre & Post parties!!

Have fun. I understand their significance but have never been a fan. My brother in law loves them but doesn't consider them the pixies without Kim deal (she isn't in the current line up).

  • Question for locals - If I have to stay in Downtown Minneapolis is riding the light rail green line train to and from the show a good option? Or is there a better option. Thanks

It takes about 45 minutes to get from downtown MPLS to downtown STP on the light rail. Cost is around $2 each way. Plus you can see some the Twin Cities. Cab to STP will be quicker, cost about $30 one way, but trying to get one back after the show could be a pain.

Bike! Best way to see the city! It's free, and only 11 miles each way!

Not sure I'd encourage a visitor to bike through Frogtown and the Midway in the middle of the night though.

Why not? Doesn't the train goes thru Midway & Frogtown too? Or you could take NiceRide one way & the train back to Mpls at night. Still the best way to see ALL of the cities, you'll get a dose of our Hmong, Somali and Hispanic neighborhoods. I've ridden it - it's not so bad.

  • Frog Town and Midway are pretty sketchy. I wouldn't bike there after the show. The lightrail is completely different than a bike.

I would take the light rail. Taxi rides are boring. Train rides are unique and not every metro area has a light rail system.

In honor of Seattle and Minneapolis being the only two cities who use this name for a holiday, happy indigenous peoples day!
