Minneapolis is an easy 4 hour dive. I'll be there.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

First LA steals your team, now they are going to try and steal your best player.

If he does get traded I hope he goes to the Warriors.

Well, for what it's worth, I trust Flip Saunders to get a solid package in return. It certainly looks like Love wants to leave, and quite frankly, I can't blame him. He was signed during the David Kahn reign of chaos, and little's been done to surround the guy with help. Additionally, that failure to lock him up for the rookie max (5 years vs. 4 years) laid the ground work for Love to want out as soon as he could. Not a lot to stay here for, so hopefully the front office can get a king's ransom in return.

Minnesota teams are always in the rebuilding phase. We never invest in anyone for the long term.

Except for guys like Kirby Puckett, Adrian Peterson, Joe Mauer and Zach Parise

Yea, but it's just them and not much of a supporting cast.

Finding role players to support super stars is the difficult part of sports. It's easy to draft, sign or trade for a super star. It's common among all teams in every sport not just Minnesota.

With the seemingly impending fall tour I wonder if all nights will be an evening with PJ or there will be opening band.

Minnesota deserves a show. I know how you guys feel been 14 years since an Idaho show.

Hope you get one soon to as well!
:-S 14 yrs.is too long of a time without PJ tour there!

I liked the first two delta spirit albums, even saw them at the 7th street entry, then they turned into a weird indie band with no hooks (imo). Maybe I just changed. :-)

their second one was definitely their best so far, but i liked a decent bit of the S/T last one. and yeah, that Entry show with Dawes & Other Lives was amazing..

new album out in September... first clip sounds pretty great imo:

not really, the last half of the west coast leg had openers and the sets weren't shorter.

In any case I like to see PJ live. Whenever special guests come on stage things tend to get sloppy. PJ20 concerts are a prime example.

Seems like you really disliked the PJ20 Alpine shows. While I agree there were some sloppy performances, the shows were a blast, and I loved the guest appearances. It wasn't all slop - hell, they even released the PJ+Josh Homme performance.

Any way - keep the faith for a MN show, and in the meantime, WHO'S COMIN WITH TO LINCOLN, NEBRASKA?!

I liked PJ20, I just think the band was under rehearsed. Also, a one song second encore? Yikes!

I'll have to see which shows fall on which dates. I may or may not be teaching next year during the fall.

There seems to be some rumblings of a possible tour announcement tomorrow. We haven't gotten the "update your info" email/sticky so I think it may be a little ways off still. Could be wrong though.
