So, another trip to chicago coming?
  • evenflow82evenflow82 Posts: 3,891
No trip to chicago. At festivals you're a million miles away and the setlists are pretty pedestrian.

I wouldn't trust a midwest concert outside after wrigley.

I'd do Lolla in a second. Chicago's fun, the event itself is well run, and for once, there will be other bands on a PJ bill worth seeing (name the last exciting PJ opener).

I want them to play Minnesota too, but Chicago is at least drivable. As far as setlists go, they've never been the driving force in why I see them. It's great to see certain songs, but I'm not going to pass an opportunity to see them because I assume the set list will suck. Heck, my favorite song is Alive. I'm pretty sure they'll play that.

Havnt heard anything off of Lightning Bolt (outside the Wrigley stuff), so, yeah, Chicago and Lolapalooza is definitely a go for me

I posted this in the Lolla thread last night. The Lolla poster was for sale last night and the headliners were blurred out but you could kind of zoom in on it. It looked like Eminem and Outkast were the top two. PJ isn't a three at a festival.
Check the Lolla board, but it's not looking like PJ is there.

So, if they do play chicago and MN is outside of the lollapalooza radius, maybe a minnesota show could be their warm up show like they did last year in london? I know I'm just hopeful, but that would be awesome. Any thoughts?

I hope so. I still think pj will be at lollapalooza. When in the last five years has the band turned down a festival?
