It's okay, I am not totally on board with baseball stadiums. After PJ20 and Wrigley I vowed to my GF I would never see PJ outdoors again unless it was at Target Field...since it's like half a mile from our place.

    Fuck the rain.

  • Hi all - Not sure if you got a chance to check out the PJ20 screening event by gathr.us. Well, there is no Minnesota date yet, but we can actually get one if we get enough people to sign up or buy tickets? Not sure if anyone has looked into this or would like to join forces to make it happen.

My question would be...would you be interested?

I already did a screening request. My choices were Rosedale AMC, Lagoon (where it played before), St. Anthony Main. I chose dates as 10/22 (1st), 10/21 (2nd), 10/23 (3rd).

If you read the details, it says Mondays through Thursdays are best, and larger theaters are better because they have more flexibility.

Rosedale AMC is really nice and is probably easiest to get to.

Okay gang.. I'm gonna bring PJ20 to a screen near us if it's the last thing I ever do, by goodness! I need your input..

I think the smaller indi theaters are going to be the easiest and cheapest. Below are a few options for Minneapolis, which seems to be a good hub for most of us
    (in priority)
    St. Anthony Main
    Lagoon in Uptown

Second, what is a good date/time.. could y'all do mid week? say, Tuesday/Wed/Thurs 7pm'ish??

Yeah, the email said small/indie theaters have very little flexibility and that screening on Monday - Thursdays are the best.

    So I picked (in order of priority): 10/22 (T), 10/21 (M), 10/23 (W).

I put Rosedale AMC first (it's a big theater, near a major highway, and they've done special screenings of stuff before), and then did Lagoon (PJ20 initially screened there), and then St. Anthony (because that special Butch Walker movie screened there).

I wasn't sure about larger theaters, thinking they would cost more, but hey.. if it's not much to see it at a nice theather like Rosedale AMC, that would be amazing! Totally beats St. Anthony.. though it was perfect for the Butch movie since I could easily walk there from work :)

All of those dates work well for us as far as I know!

Totally, I just picked the big theater because of their email, and then those dates because of what came up immediately on their calendar link.

It doesn't have to be those theaters or those dates, but I do agree that if we're going to try for one, we should all pick the same date/place.

So apparently Gathr Films wants me to be a "Movie Captain" for the PJ20 screening? I have no clue what that means. Anyone else get that email?

You were the one who started this request so they need you to be the dude to refer to, I'm guessing. They'll do most of the work but they probably need to to spread the word
