There is one on ebay and I really want to bid on it. I have every other PJ vinyl and I have never seen this before for sale. The starting bid is $500 with a Buy it Now for $1,000. i can't afford the Buy it now but am wondering how rare they are and if they are worth spending $500 or more. I saw it on PJ collectors so I'm assuming it's legit. Anyone know more info, cause I would love to own this.

I remember hearing only about 500 were made. Thats 1/4th the run of Benaroya, yet people here are saying its not worth half of what that sells for regularly.

    Odd to me.

I think $ 1000 is too much. Ok, only 500 copies were made. But the cover of that LP is so ugly ! And, even if the show is good, this isn't half as good as benaroya. I don't have the soldier field vinyl but I remember seeing one sold for $400-450 on ebay a few months ago. I'd buy it for $300 max.

I believed the vinyl wasnt official in the sense it wasnt put out by the record label...isnt this a radio station release like the Cd witht the same packaging was?

I heard last year some guy had one on ebay every week and someone suggested he was just making more...

Its probably ok, but proceed with caution and understand what you are buying, because its not 100% official and sony doesnt make it not valuable, but to me its far too high at $500 - its basically a band endorsed bootleg

Thanks for the info. The majority said it isn't worth $500 so I'm gonna keep my $$. I can live without it. it is opened and I'm sure someone has it on disc or an audio file by now. Thanks again for the info.

LOL. If I said "the Bears" I would have had to replace the "the" with "da". However I was playing off of the Soldiers Field joke.

and FYI, it's not the whole show on the vinyls... it's just 4 sides worth i think.

I didn't get a poster with my copy. That is just what the outer cover looks like when opened up (front & back)

As I have mentioned on the boards in the past, the sound quality on this is sub-par (not sure if it is just mine or if that is true for all copies). Every other live recording I have on vinyl sounds much better than the Soldier Field LP.

yes the sound quality does suck a little

  • I believe this vinyl is the same thing that Q101 released on CD. in other words, it is incomplete, out of order and of mediocre sound quality.

find the audience/FM mix on CD instead. it is complete and sounds great. save your $500.

You should have gotten a poster with yours, sealed copies from the Point in St. Louis all had that poster in them. This is different than the one Q101 did.

$1000 for precious vinyl. don't get me started on this bullshit again. i can see the point if its for charity, but c'mon!

away with bloated collectors prices for something that deserves to be both reasonably priced and spinning on a turntable somewhere!

  • Venue's called Soldier Field.
  • what does any of this have to do with the actual show? if you want a download link, let me know and I'll find you one. if you want a shiny piece of round plastic in cardboard sleeve that says Pearl Jam at Soldier Field on it, you can have one - almost for free. but as a 17 year fan who's dodged a few huge bullets of grabby impulse but still spent way too much money on useless, trivial shit, i can tell you that nobody who sees it is going to think it's as cool as you do, and there's a very high chance that you're going to feel pretty stupid about it down the line. the only upsell is resale value, but that would make you a fan predator like the original listing seller.

collectors have their place, sure, but nothing they have, hold or sell will ever compare to the memory of the first time i heard the show. i remember exactly where, exactly when, and the impact it had on me.

what impact will a $500 soldier field vinyl have on you?
