I was pleasantly surprised by Speed Of Sound and Supersonic live ... can't stand the album versions of either ... which is the opposite of Force of Nature, as i love the album version but think it never sounds good live
It's tuned down so it comes off a little flat live, but so are Got Some, Fixer, Gonna See My Friend as well FWIW.
It's painful to see the pictures of the setlists when they have the tuning marked ... you can see how many songs they have to tune down in order for Ed to sing them ... not that i'm complaining
i don't even notice that when i listen to them live.

I was really hoping since its a non-album tour they would take Fixer, Just Breathe and Unthought Known off 'everyday' status. They're all fine songs, but backspacer could have some other songs filling those slots just fine.
save for calgary and toronto, canada has never seen the band play any of backspacer, so playing the "hits" seems a good idea, yeah?
Yes and no. One could also argue that this is our extension of the Backspacer tour, and they should give the album wider coverage.
but not in place of the "hits", is the point here. if they're only going to allot 2-3 backspacer songs a show in an area they haven't toured, guess which ones they'll probably be...

Yes, and it kinda sucks, IMHO. I really like all three of these hits, too, that's not the issue. I realize they aren't going to play eight Backspacer songs a night anymore, nor would that necessarily be a great thing. Take this encore, for instance. They could have plunked Force of Nature in there in place of Daughter, which they just played last show. Minor tweak. Not saying the band sucks. Just like the new material. For what its worth, they shut me up about Avocado over the past two nights.
This setlist isn't anywhere near as good as the past handful.
Yeah I would agree... take away Wash and U for me and its nothing crazy. But there are a lot of songs on here I know a lot of people really love, so I think the personal preference thing plays huge in these shows now that they are so varied.
how could you forget one of the best shows of the last 3 years? keepin you on your toes.
Wasn't there in person but that is an awesome boot.
go back and look at the fanviews from that show, 75% of the responses from people are simply "best show ever" or "best show ive ever attended"
there was something in the building that night. the band knew it and we knew it, they changed the setlist for us because of it, scratched off the end and parachutes and played i got shit, solat, breath instead. unreal night. magic.
anyways, back to edmonton.....

I think Another Brick in the Wall was the tag for Daughter...
I asked...she may be saving her battery!!
That would be a GOOD TAG for the Jimmy Fallon's Show - Pink Floyd shows next week!!! PJ does MOTHER on Thursday night!!
Foos doing "The Wall" on Tuesday...

With you on that one....first row for that one (believe you had first row to??).
I was about to drive to Edmonton 3 hrs before the show, glad I didn't cause I am ready for bed (not the setlist as there are a few tunes I would like to see)
I think Another Brick in the Wall was the tag for Daughter...
OK. Not fearing my exposed ignorance, what is this "tag" thing I keep seeing? :?
It's when they "sample" another song within their own song.
E.g., Near the end of Daughter, they may sample a bit of Neil Young's Rockin' in the Free World... or in tonight's case, Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall.
